Is Netflix’s Enola Holmes good?

The much-anticipated release of Enola Holmes has people wondering if it is worth watching. With the outstanding cast alone, this film has created quite the buzz.

So, is it worth it? YES!

The Netflix original movie, Enola Holmes, is a delightful film that is fun and surprisingly not that predictable, like many movies these days.

Fans of Millie Bobby Brown of Stranger Things will most definitely want to check this one out. She plays Enola Holmes and is joined by Henry Cavill and Sam Claflin, who plays her brothers, Sherlock and Mycroft. Their mother, Eudoria, is played by Helena Bonham Carter.

Louis Partridge plays Lord Tewkesbury and has excellent chemistry with Brown. The two meet on a train as they are both running away from their families. They come from entirely different backgrounds but become fast friends as they share a common bond of try to escape from their family’s decisions for their lives.

Enola is curious and adventurous and not afraid of much in the world. Her mother educated her in not only literature but many other skills that she would never have received otherwise. Brown has such a way about her, and I feel some of her personality comes out in this character.

I would go out on a limb to say this is the best Netflix movie released in a while, certainly this year. It has all the elements of a great movie. It’s fun and funny. The main characters go on an adventure, and the cast is great.

According to Rotten Tomatoes, critics and Netflix viewers are loving this movie. Enola Holmes as a 92 percent critical approval rating and an 82 percent audience score. That’s awesome for any movie.

Over the years, we have seen many versions of Sherlock but never like this. This film is based on books by Nancy Springer about Enola. I might have to read them for the fun of it. And, with all of those stories, it would be easy to make more films about Enola.

Enola Holmes 2 has to be in the works at Netflix already.

I recommend you add this Netflix movie to your must-watch list on Netflix. It is refreshing to have something fun and new to watch.
