Will Pope and Cleo get together in Outer Banks season 3?

We have come to the romance section! We know John B and Sarah are solid, but there’s a lot of chemistry and some tension with the rest of the Pogues and their relationships.

We saw Pope and Kiara try to make things work in Outer Banks season 2, and it didn’t really work out that well. It appears that relationship is over for the time being, given the recent comments by Josh Pate that we shared earlier about teen romance, via Variety:

"… but going forward with Season 3 — and we especially wanted to expand upon the opportunities of teen romance within the group. John B. and Sarah are kind of spoken for, and Pope and Kiara have kind of run their course."

So, if I’m picking up what they’re putting down, John B and Sarah are still solid. There will be drama here, but they’re basically and literally married at this point. So, Cleo has a few options within the Pogues. Pope, Kie, and JJ are all single.

There’s so much stuff there with Kie and JJ, and that’s where the natural progression leads, which we’ll discuss in a moment. So, that really opens the door for Pope and Cleo to become romantically involved.

I think that’s what’s going to happen. Did you see the camera linger on them a little bit in the finale? What about those beats, or moments, of silence? There’s something here.

Will JJ and Kiara start dating in Outer Banks season 3?

I think this is, again, the most obvious relationship to expect in Outer Banks season 3. It’s been teased, hinted at, and just sat there in front of JJ and Kie’s faces for so long. They are so similar in their views on the world, their loyalty to each other, and more. There are definitely some feelings here, too!

The JJ-Kiara will they/won’t that’s been going on since season 1 will end at some point, and I have a feeling JJ and Kiara might be meant to be together. Where are the JJ and Kiara shippers? I want to see you in the comments if you think the JJ and Kiara relationship should happen.
