Ready for a new take on a true story? How about a harrowing tale of the wrongly accused? Look no further than the Richard Jewell miniseries Manhunt: Deadly Games. The good news, you ask? The show has officially made its way to Netflix.

Manhunt: Deadly Games is the follow-up installment to Manhunt: Unabomber on CBSAnd there’s no time like the present to start streaming. But first, let’s take a look at the plot for this one.

What is Manhunt: Deadly Games about?

Inspired by real events, Manhunt: Deadly Games takes an up close look at some of the very scary events that took place during the 1996 Olympics, and centers around Richard Jewell’s unbelievable experience through it all.

As noted by CBS, this drama is a scripted true-crime anthology miniseries that chronicles “one of the most complex manhunts on U.S. soil following the deadly terrorist attack at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta.”

Netflix describes the plot as:

"Despite his heroics, security guard Richard Jewell becomes a suspect in the FBI investigation of a foiled terrorist attack at the 1996 Olympics."

According to Spectrum Originals, the latest installment of CBS’ Manhunt will focus on the the media firestorm that “consumed the life of Richard Jewell in its wake” following the terrorist attacks, and examine how everything that followed impacted his FBI career, professional and personal relationships, and life as a whole.

Manhunt: Deadly Games cast

The cast for this one is pretty stellar. Mindhunter alum Cameron Britton stars as Richard Jewell, Judith Light plays Jewell’s mother, The Haunting of Bly Manor‘s Carla Gugino plays reporter Kathy Scruggs, and Arliss Howard plays Earl Embry.

Gethin Anthony and Kelly Jenrette also appear.
