Unfortunately, we have a few tidbits of bad news to share. Season 7 is the penultimate season of the TV series. Arrow will end with season 8 next year, as many of the cast are ready to move on to other projects. It’s remarkable that this series lasted for eight seasons. Season 8 will also be a shortened season, so that’s more less-than-good news about this great superhero series. Its success is responsible for the expanded Arrowverse on The CW.
And, now for the worst of the news, Emily Bett Rickards, who stars as Felicity in the series, leaves Arrow in season 7. This is her last season of the show.
The show has a great plan for her exit, and the show has an even better plan for season 8, which looks like it could conclude with the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover with The Flash and Supergirl. It’s going to be awesome! And, it’s not happening until later this year, at the earliest.
