Riverdale season 3 arrives on Netflix next week!

Riverdale season 3 ends tonight, May 15, 2019, with the season finale. There’s been so much happening this season, and it has all been leading up to this moment. Fortunately, if you are behind with this series, you don’t have to wait too long to watch season 3 on Netflix.

UPDATE: Riverdale season 3 is coming to Netflix TONIGHT!

Riverdale season 3, the full season, will be added to Netflix on Thursday, May 23. The new season arrives exactly eight days after the season finale airs on The CW. This is the usual deal with seasons of The CW shows coming to the streaming service.

The first two seasons of the series are available to stream on Netflix right now. We highly recommend watching both seasons as soon as possible to get caught up before the new season hits the streaming service next Thursday.

Riverdale season 3 kicks off with the trial of Archie Andrews, who was arrested on a murder charge at the end of season 2. In addition, there’s a new threat in Riverdale, and it’s sweeping the town. A game, Gryphons and Gargoyles, which is similar to D&D, is causing quite a few problems, thanks to the Gargoyle King.

This season we also get to go back in time to the early days of the Riverdale adults. It’s a very Breakfast Club-like episode and features the show’s young characters playing their parents in their high school days.

It’s an awesome kick off to what’s been an intense, drama-filled season of the series based on the Archie Comics characters and stories.

There’s a chance Riverdale could be leaving Netflix in the near future. We don’t know when exactly, but WarnerMedia, which owns Warner Bros. TV, which is the producer and distributor of Riverdale, is starting their own streaming service later this year. And, we just learned that all the major WarnerMedia shows will be making their way to the streaming service eventually. That means, unless Netflix is able to secure a deal to keep this show on the streaming service, Riverdale will probably leave Netflix.

Netflix could already have a deal for the series for the length of the series plus a few years. That’s how it works with some shows, but it’s impossible for us to know that right now.
