The popular Netflix film To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before 2 adds three new stars for the sequel coming out in 2020

The cast of To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before 2 is getting a little bigger, Deadline reports. The sequel to To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, titled P.S. I Still Love You,  has added Madeleine Arthur who will be taking on her role of Christine.

Holland Taylor, known for her role in Legally Blonde, and Sarayu Blue of Blockers have joined the ever-growing ensemble.

Previously announced is Lana Condor and Noah Centineo are reprising their roles, along with John Corbett, Anna Cathcart, and Janel Parrish. Other newbies to the film’s world include Jordan Fisher and Ross Butler, who were just announced recently.

The film series is based on the popular young adult book series written by Jenny Han. Han’s books are a trilogy, so it is safe to assume the film series will be the same.

The series follows the protagonist Lara Jean, played by Condor, who has written letters to the five boys that she has loved, or at least thought she loved. She kept the letters hidden away until they get accidentally mailed and start the hijinx that is the film and book series.

More from Netflix Originals

The sequel is written by Sofia Alvarez, who wrote the first film in the series. The director is changing, though. Susan Johnson is moving from director to be one of the executive producers of the sequel. The new director taking the reigns is Michael Fimognari, who served as the cinematographer for the first film.

The producers by Johnson’s side are the author of the book series Han, Shelley Zimmerman, Rebecca Glashow, Robyn Marshall, and Max Siemers. Matt Kaplan will also be returning as a producer after his work on the original.

The production of the sequel of To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before started this spring, and from what we’ve seen and heard so far, the sequel may be just as good, if not better, than the original. That is quite a tall task though as Hollywood is not known for producing sequels that hold up well in comparison to the original. Hopefully, Netflix doesn’t become known for the same issue.

We don’t know when exactly to expect the sequel, but we’ll keep you posted as soon as we find out!
