The trailer for Stranger Things 3 is Netflix’s most-watched video on YouTube, and it’s only been available for a week.

The Stranger Things 3 trailer is Netflix’s most-watched video on YouTube, according to a report from Screen Rant. At the time of publishing, the trailer has been watched nearly 22 million times.

The Stranger Things 3 trailer surpasses its season 2 counterpart, which previously held the distinction, with 19 million views. It has even surpassed the trailer for last year’s mega-popular hit Bird Box which has 18 million views.

This news would make it seem like distance has indeed made the heart grow fonder as many Stranger Things super-fans were disappointed when the news dropped that after the October 2017 release of season two of Stranger Things the next season would not be arriving until 2019.

It’s no surprise this trailer is the most-watched Netflix show of all. The show continues to be one of the most popular shows on the streaming service despite no new episodes since the fall of 2017.

We now know that it will be not quite a two-year wait as Stranger Things 3 will drop on July 4 of this year. The trailer for the new season more than defends that wait by heavily focusing on the stars of the series as teenagers now as opposed to the kids that we watched grow up.
