Watch the Stranger Things 3 trailer and follow along with Netflix Life’s clip-by-clip breakdown of the trailer as we pore over every second of this three-minute masterpiece.

The Stranger Things 3 trailer is here, and we have broken down the trailer, clip-by-clip, to make sure you didn’t miss anything. I’ve shared a few different theories of mine.

This trailer is awesome. It does a great job at showing what this season is all about, and we get a look at the monster from the new season. Based on the trailer, it looks like there might be a few more monsters in Hawkins in season 3 than there were in the first two seasons.

The new trailer also features some blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moments. We have shared all those clips below, along with some insight on the new season.

If you missed the trailer, watch it below and then follow along with our clip-by-clip breakdown. You definitely missed something the first few times watching the trailer!

1. Dustin is back in Hawkins

The trailer opens with Motley Crue’s “Home Sweet Home” at Dustin’s house. Dustin appears to have arrived home from AV Camp, we assume, and he’s surprised by Eleven, Mike, Max, Will, and Lucas. Eleven uses her powers to make Dustin’s action figures and toys come to life and walk through the house. After everything they’ve been through, Dustin is rightfully scared out of his mind, and he sprays Lucas in the face with, likely, the Farrah Fawcett hairspray from Stranger Things 2.

They do greet him with a nice “welcome home” sign, though.

2. The gang treks through the fields of Hawkins

I’m getting some serious IT vibes from this clip. Eleven, Mike, Will, Dustin, Lucas and Max walk through a remote area of Hawkins, and they set up a big antenna. What it’s for, we don’t know yet, but I’ve heard “The Silver Cat Feeds,” and it may have something to do with this antenna. That’s just a guess, though.

3. The Hawkins Post

We see get our first look at Nancy and Jonathan sitting in the lobby of The Hawkins Post, or so we think. They’re all dressed up. Do they work there this summer? Are they interns? To be determined on that one.

4. The Swimming Pool

It’s summer in Hawkins in 1985 and everyone is at the swimming pool. Billy is a lifeguard there, and we get our first look at a new character, Heather, played by Francesca Reale. From the episode titles, we know there’s an episode called “The Case of the Missing Lifeguard.” We might be looking at her.

More from Stranger Things

5. Hopper at dinner

Hopper is dressed up in a “nice” suit waiting for someone in a restaurant. It’s a table for two.

6. Joyce

In the next clip, we see Joyce eating dinner at her house. Stop playing with our emotions, Stranger Things! We need Jopper in the new season.

7. Mike and the boys

Mike and the dudes are on bikes leaving Will’s house. Mike says, in a voiceover:

"“We’re not kids anymore. I mean, what did you think, we were just going to sit in my basement all day? Play games for the rest of our lives?”"

The heroes are growing up after all.

8. Eleven and Max

It looks like Eleven and Max are becoming really good friends. We see Max dancing and Eleven looking at magazines.

9. Dustin is the third wheel

The next clip is from the Fourth of July celebration. Dustin is left behind as Lucas and Max run off holding hands.

10. Will struggles

Will seems to be having a hard time. We see him crying while looking at pictures of him, Lucas, Mike and Dustin in their Ghostbusters costumes. Poor, poor Will.
