The three-day weekend has arrived and not a moment too soon. It's been a long week (to put it ever so lightly), which means it's time to kick our feet up, drown out the world around us, and escape into some of the best Netflix new releases of the week. We could all use a bit of escapism right now!
Thankfully, the Pogues are back with the second part of their season 4 adventures. Outer Banks debuted five all-new episodes on Nov. 7 that brought its shocking and action-packed penultimate season to a close. On top of hunting for treasure with the Pogues, a fan-favorite animated series has returned and Netflix kicked off its holiday season with a new original Christmas rom-com.
Wondering which if these Netflix new releases should make it on your watch list this weekend and which one probably won't be fore everyone? Check out our recommendations below to find out what to watch during the long Veteran's Day weekend!
Outer Banks season 4 part 2
Watch! Once again, the Pogues are up to no good as they work to bring their latest adventure to a close in Outer Banks season 4 part 2. The end of part 1 dropped a major bombshell on JJ regarding a long-kept family secret that ties into the overarching mystery of the season. Part 2 dives a little deeper into JJ's backstory while the Pogues take on all their enemies for the gold.
After finishing your quick five-episode binge-watch of Outer Banks season 4 part 2, you don't have to worry about the series ending on any potential cliffhangers. Ahead of the release of part 2, Netflix announced that Outer Banks has been renewed for a fifth and final season. We still have one last ride with the Pogues following this unbelievable season!
Arcane season 2 act 1
Skip! It's been three years since the anime-influenced adult animated series Arcane premiered on Netflix, but the second and final season finally begins rolling out on Nov. 9. Like the first season, Arcane season 2 will be released across three acts, with acts 2 and 3 dropping on Nov. 16 and 23 respectively, likely three episodes each to match season 1.
While the League of Legends-based series has a strong and loyal following that will not be missing a single episode all three weeks of its rollout, if you aren't a fan of adult animated series or haven't watched the series before, you will probably be better off skipping this series if you come across it in the top 10 or in your Netflix recommendations.
Meet Me Next Christmas
Watch! Whether you have already decked the halls or you're one of those people who waits until after Thanksgiving to decorate for Christmas, we could all benefit from some levity this weekend. What's better to put a smile on your face than a holiday-themed romantic comedy that's almost certain to involve an overly sweet happy ending? (Answer: Pretty much nothing!)
Christina Milian stars in Meet Me Next Christmas a woman in search of her prince charming on Christmas Eve and must nab some tickets to Pentatonix's holiday concert to do so. The movie is filled with love and music and just all-around positive vibes. It's the perfect way to get the holiday spirit started as Netflix has three more Christmas rom-coms coming this month.
