Fresh off a successful run of new movies, including Jennifer Lopez’s The Mother reaching the top 10 most popular Netflix movies of all time list, the streamer drops at least one new original movie a week in July — and they each contain huge stars or are part of a franchise.

The Out-Laws

Release Date: July 7

Adam Devine and Nina Dobrev, who have both starred in Netflix original movies in the past, team up in The Out-Laws as engaged couple Owen and Parker. When the bank Owen manages is robbed by a notorious pair of outlaws on the lead up to his wedding day, he soon theorizes that his soon-to-be in-laws, played by Pierce Brosnan and Ellen Barkin, are the robbers.

Bird Box Barcelona

Release Date: July 14

Remember in 2018 when Bird Box, the post-apocalyptic horror-thriller starring Sandra Bullock, became the most popular movie on Netflix? There were headline-grabbing challenges, millions of hours watched, and so much conversation. Now, the Spanish spin-off film Bird Box Barcelona arrives to continue the story in Spain. The follow-up premieres July 14 on Netflix!

They Cloned Tyrone

Release Date: July 21

It’s been a long road for They Cloned Tyrone, which was originally set for release on Netflix last year, but the sci-fi comedy film finally makes its premiere on July 21. They movie stars John Boyega, Teyonah Parris, and Jamie Foxx, and it’s definitely one you will not want to miss this summer, especially when it inevitably ends up in the top 10.

Happiness for Beginners

Release Date: July 27

The erstwhile Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt star Ellie Kemper returns to Netflix in the new original movie Happiness for Beginners. She stars as Helen, a fresh divorcee looking for adventure and a new start with a survival course. While hiking with a group of new friends, she finds more than what she’s looking for. Based on the book of the same name, the film also stars Luke Grimes, Nico Santos, and Blythe Danner.
