It's already been a busy fall on Netflix with the streaming service coming in like a wrecking ball with excellent original content all throughout October. We have enjoyed series like East of Eden, Below, The Diplomat, and Nobody Wants This, and Netflix keeps the good times rolling with even more amazing new release original series throughout November.
The month of new releases begins on Nov. 5 with the double-impact of two long-awaited second seasons, as the spy thriller Black Doves and the Canadian comedy North of North both return on the same day. Our watch lists will be full of action and laughs, and we simply can't wait to catch back up with Siaja Kudlak and her latest adventures in Ice Cove.
North of North season 2 arrives over one year after the comedy series first made its premiere on Netflix back in April 2025, but the new season will be more than worth the wait. Once again, the series returns with eight all-new episodes, which have already aired on its home network of CBC in Canada. But the rest of the world will finally get the chance to watch the second season.

When does North of North season 2 come out on Netflix?
North of North season 2 makes its premiere on Netflix on Thursday, Nov. 5, 2026. All eight episodes of the new season will be released at once, which is a different release schedule than Canadian fans are accustomed to. While the first season aired one episode weekly, except for the two-episode premiere, the second season aired two episodes weekly during its run in September 2025.
The complete second season will be released on Netflix at 3 a.m. ET / 12 a.m. PT on Thursday, Nov. 5. As usual, that's not a particularly convenient time for fans to begin watching as soon as we would like, but at least the new season will be available to watch whenever fans are ready to dive in. If you live in other parts of the world, your binge-watch can kick off at a much more reasonable time.

In North of North season 2, Siaja Kudlak (Anna Lambe) continues her attempts to "level up" her life amid the constant attention and interest of her small town community. The young mother will continue to push forward with conscious decisions that might backfire, but she undoubtedly learns a valuable lesson with each mistake, whether it's in motherhood, career, family, or romance.
Following North of North season 2 completing its run on CBC in September, a third season hasn't yet been announced. However, an announcement about a potential renewal will likely come after the show returns on Netflix. That's what happened last year when the series arrived on the streamer a few months after airing in Canada. Keep your fingers crossed and make sure to tune in.
