Some stunning switch-arounds in the top five lists of most viewed movies and shows on Netflix, as revealed on TUDUM. Most of the blood and gore has gone from the previous week’s lists, although some of that stomach-churning content does still linger. The top fives have now been freshened up, with more fun and family-rated content being watched last week.
Having said that, while there is a definite fun and family theme to the top five movies, it’s not without some scary moments. One new release slashes its way to the top spot. But if that’s not your style, there’s plenty else to feast on.
As expected from the previous weeks' numbers, Four Seasons has dropped out of the top five most-watched shows. There are, though, three new and exciting replacements. One is a further season of a very popular series, the other two are brand new and could stick around for a few weeks longer.

5 - Instant Family
Mark Wahlberg’s 2018 movie is now out on Netflix and made it into the top five. He stars in this family comedy drama alongside Rose Byrne as two parents who adopt three siblings. It’s an enjoyable film and one which many people have cited as inspiring them to find out more and get involved in adoption. A movie with a positive impact for sure.
4 - Untold: The Fall Of Favre
The story of the three-time NFL MVP who put the Green Bay Packers in the headlines again. As a quarterback, Brett Favre was respected and heralded widely. But scandal overtook all that with allegations of very improper texts and pictures sent, and a hefty welfare scandal highlighting Fevre’s flaws. This documentary sets it all out for us.
3 - Nonnas
The third week for Vince Vaughn and his nonnas, with Susan Sarandon also starring. It is a true story behind this screenplay, a man mourning his late mother and opening a traditional Italian restaurant in her memory. The food all comes from Italian mothers, the nonnas of the story. It’s heartwarming and fun.
2 - Puss In Boots: The Last Wish
Classic animation from Dreamworks as we get another disting for the follow-up to a spin-off from the Shrek series. Salma Hayek and Antonio Banderas reprise their voice-overs and add to the humor and style. Originally released in 2022, it’s remarkably good for a film that’s so far down the spin-off and sequels line, number six in the Shrek series.
1 - Fear Street: Prom Queen
You should know what you are getting here. This slash horror movie, just released, follows the first three Fear Street movies. Critics haven't been particularly kind to it, but let's face it, late in a series of horror movies isn't going to keep them happy. It’s all about the frights, suspense, and terror, which this delivers on well.

5 - Love, Death & Robots: Season 4
This popular and award-winning series is back with season 4. Some of you may recognise it better as ❤️❌🤖, as it is often referred to. This new season brings ten more episodes of adult animation covering a mix of horror, sci-fi, and fantasy, with a comedy angle in there too. As always, there is a wide mix of story settings and themes in these ten, which so far are keeping viewers very satisfied.
4 - Bet
A new series for Netflix viewers brings more teen drama/thriller with a psychological twist. It’s an adaptation of a Japanese Manga story, set this time in the exclusive boarding school, St. Dominic’s. The school has an underground gambling scene. Filmed in Toronto, it’s a solid, worth the watch series you should explore if you haven’t already.
3 - Fred And Rose West: A British Horror
The second week of this docuseries is in the top five. It’s an awful and depraved multiple murder story to reveal, perhaps one that's less familiar to many viewers. Having seen it unfold in the media at the time, the shockwaves went heavily through the UK and wouldn't have me rushing back for more now. It tells the tales of what happened to make the West so notorious.
2 - American Manhunt: The Hunt For Osama Bin Laden
Obviously, this was a huge story worldwide, so this series on the hunt for the man behind 9/11 was always going to attract lots of attention. A second week in the top five is no surprise. The rare footage, CIA interviews, and other exciting action as the hunt gets closer all make it highly watchable.
1 - Sirens
Another brand new series launching straight into the top spot, with over 16 million views, signals a strong show. As does the cast list, led by Julianne Moore, Meghann Fahy, and Milly Alcock. Kevin Bacon also appears as a billionaire who gets too close to Alcock’s character. The story is very much about the three women. It’s smart, witty, and well written, and deserving of the top slot.
