Hold on tight if you are viewing some of them.

The latest top five lists of the most viewed movies and shows on Netflix, as listed by TUDUM, contain some shockers. It's not that they are bad to watch, though. Some are hard to watch, especially if you have a delicate stomach.

There is just one new entry to last week's top five movies list. And what an entry when it comes to stomach churning. Given that it also uncovers a phony health scam, it won’t leave you feeling good. Three of the other movies cover a variety of crime and violence, too. Thankfully, there's also a heartwarming film that’s an antidote to the others, which will leave you hungry for more

It’s quite a change around on the top five shows, with three new entries this week. But the balance is still towards the tough-to-watch, uncomfortable viewing, a murder, and a major manhunt. This time, though, there are two shows that will make you smile rather than grimace.

5 - Inside Man: Most Wanted

Older films often drop off the top five quickly. This 2019 follow-up to an original film has held on for a second week. Action and thrills, a bank heist, Nazi gold, and the Federal Reserve all feature. It’s an okay movie to keep you entertained, though not as clever as the earlier 2006 Inside Man movie.

4 - Untold: The Liver King

Where to start with this one is a big question. The movie tells the story of the rise and fall of Brian Johnson, better known especially via social media as the Liver King. He attributed his bodybuilding success to eating nothing but raw meat, especially liver and testicles. Find out more about the sham and shame as his steroid and hormone treatments were revealed.

3 - Havoc

This all-action thriller kicks off with a drugs raid that goes badly wrong. Tom Hardy leads a strong cast that shoots, kills, blasts, and storms their way through the scenes. Expect plenty of long, violent, and bloody shootouts. It’s not for the faint-hearted.

2 - A Deadly American Marriage

Showing the popularity of documentary movies for viewers, it’s a strong second place. It tells the tale of the killing of Jason Corbett in 2015. What really happened and more about the convictions of his wife, Molly Martens, and her father, Thomas, charged with killing Corbett.

1 - Nonnas

The warmth of this entertaining and fact-based story sees it continue in top position. Vince Vaughn plays the son who opens an Italian family eatery. He needs and gets help from older women in his family and their friends, the Nonnaks of the story. It’s a crowdpleaser as a feel-good, uplifting tale.

5 - Bad Thoughts

Some viewers have watched this opening series of Bad Thoughts and see some similarities with Black Mirror. The set of independent storylines with occasional running themes, as does the dystopian setting, perhaps hints that way. But the gross humour and a lot of gore as Tom Segura romps through most storylines perhaps show otherwise.

4 - The Four Seasons

Slipping slightly but still popular, The Four Seasons continues to keep viewers entertained. Steve Carell, Colman Domingo, Tina Fey, Will Forte, Kerri Kenney-Silva, Marco Calvani, and Erika Henningsen play the three couples (and new partner) whose lives the eight episodes follow. It’s a classy watch for sure.

3 - FOREVER

A second top-five week for this teenage romance story. Lovie Simone and Michael Cooper Jr. play the young couple in a new relationship. We see how they deal with first love through High School and college. Based on the book by Judy Blume.

2 - Fred And Rose West: A British Horror Story

This covers the story of a series of horrific murders in the UK at the hands of Fred and Rose West. It’s an awful tale of depravity and mindless killing, not to mention the couple’s cover-up. Police interview tapes add an extra insight, but the documentary series doesn't reveal anything new for those who recall the case.

1 - American Manhunt: Osama Bin Laden

Another docuseries leaps straight in at number one. The search for Osama Bin Laden remains a big story for obvious reasons. This series, over three episodes, brings in rare footage and CIA insider insight to reveal more about the hunt for the man behind 9/11.

Netflix also keeps adding new content. So, if you want to check out some of the latest shows and movies they’ve added recently, we’ve got that covered for you. Some of them could be in the next most-viewed lists.
