Tina Fey and Steve Carell were already co-stars in a series that offered plenty of laughs. The duo, joined now by Marco Calvani, Colman Domingo, Will Forte, Erika Henningsen, and Kerri Kenney-Silver, among others, promises to do the same in the new Netflix series The Four Seasons. The series, which will premiere on May 1, 2025, and has eight episodes, is an adaptation of Alan Alda's big-screen romantic comedy from 1981.

The story revolves around three couples: Kate and Jack, Nick and Anne, and Danny and Claude. The six are good friends who have known each other for a long time and have detailed relationships. They decide to go away for a relaxing weekend, only to learn when they get there that one of the couples is on the verge of a breakup.

It seems that Fey and 30 Rock writer-producers Lang Fisher and Tracey Wigfield, the leading creators of this series, are out to discover what lies behind long-term love relationships and what role long-term friendships play in them, particularly when things get complicated.

What you need to know about Netflix's The Four Seasons

At the same time, there just might be a funny side to all of it, and we just might find out when the series airs on May 1 whether the crew and the stars of The Four Seasons will be able to bring it to their audience.

Who is in the cast of The Four Seasons?

Along with Fey, who plays Kate, and Carell, who plays Nick, the main characters include Jack (Will Forte), Ann (Kerri Kenney-Silver), Danny (Colman Domingo), and Claude (Marco Calvani).

Domingo is known for the roles in Rustin and The Madness; Forte in Bodkin; Kenney-Silver in Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp; Calvani in High Tide; and Henningsen in Girls5Eva.

Are there first-look photos? Yes, there are.

As you can see from the cast list above, the series is bound to be entertaining. But do the actors look their parts? Definitely.

What is happening in the photo above? We know that is a classic first-look photo because it intrigues more than informs. Danny and Jack look amiss, while others are smiling. What are they watching?

White Lotus arrivals? Nope, and The Four Seasons is very unlikely to be in the same vein as that Max's gem. But with Fey, Carell, Domingo, and the others, the series might be the same high quality.

At least, there is happiness here. And we are likely to be laughing a lot ourselves while streaming the show.
