In the new episodes, there's a lot of changing going around Serenity and beyond. Based on where season 4 left off, Maddie will be pursuing a major career opportunity with a move to New York City, where she will be joined by Helen and Dana Sue for a best friends' trip. But the demands of being away from home will inevitably wear on her new marriage and other relationships.
The rest of our Serenity favorites will also be "navigating old and new relationships, and redefining what they want from themselves and each other," according to the official synopsis shared by Netflix's press release. Hard decisions will be made, which likely includes Maddie's son Ty embarking out on his own. Carson Rowland will not reprise his role in season 5, leaving some questions to be answered.
