What to know.

Even if you aren't flying to Los Angeles to check out Netflix's Tudum Live 2025 event on May 31, you can stream the happenings. Well, most of them. You won't be able to meet and greet with some of the Netflix staffers or the casts of your favorite shows. That would be the fun in going.

But what exactly will happen at the annual get-together? We knew there would be musical performances and surprise appearances (and there still will be), and some of the most famous cast members would show up. But now we know a little bit more.

That is because Netflix dropped a teaser on social media this week featuring Sofia Carson, the event's host. In the snippet, she gives us five things we need to know about Tudum. Some are better than others, to be fair.

5 things we might have learned from Sofia Carson about Netflix's Tudum Live 2025

Sofia Carson is the host

This starts an underwhelming trend with the "announcements." We already knew Carson would be the host, just as we knew several other things she said. Let's hope the event brings more surprises than the social media tease.

Celebrating fans everywhere by bringing live news drops of series and movies

OK, we assumed that would be the case. The point of the vent is to enhance our excitement about upcoming releases. The fun part, hopefully, will be hearing about forthcoming series and movies that we didn't yet know were in the works.

The casts of Stranger Things, Wednesday, One Piece, Squid Game, and "so many more"

The guess here (likely wrong) is that these are part of the global event. Maybe the casts will not all be in Los Angeles, but they will be somewhere people can ask them direct questions. Or, perhaps they are all in-person in LA.

Musical performances are going to "blow our minds"

One musical guest is already known: Lady Gaga. This makes sense as she is expected to appear in the second season of Wednesday, which will be released on August 6. We don't know about other musical acts yet.

The event will be streamed live on May 31st

We knew this already, so Carson's announcement was quite dull, but that isn't her fault. She likely did not write the teaser. Surely, the Tudum event will be much better at 8 pm ET on May 31.
