As the year continues to wind down, we're all trying to sort out our various to do lists, and that inevitably includes what we're watching. There are so many movies and shows released throughout the year that it's impossible to watch them all. That makes the end of the year the perfect time to catch up on all of the latest new release movies on Netflix.

Some viewers in December will be checking out the latest Netflix Christmas movies, the awards season contenders such as Emilia Pérez, Maria, and The Piano Lesson, or the most popular acquired titles in the top 10. But if you're a fan of sexy movies, there might be a few selections you can add to your watch list this month that will satisfy your craving for a bit of heat.

There's three movies in particular that could strike your interest: a recently released sci-fi thriller, a 2010s throwback musical, and what's likely 2024's most debated movie, which probably shouldn't be confused with the "sexy" subgenre. With all of that said, here are two movies to add to your watch list and one that should have care taken before watching.

Subservience

  • Release Year: 2024
  • Director: S.K. Dale
  • Cast: Megan Fox, Michele Morrone, Madeline Zima, Matilda Firth, Andrew Whipp
  • Rotten Tomatoes: 48%

Watch! Netflix watchers know one of the stars of the sci-fi thriller movie Subservience very, very well. 365 Days star Michele Morrone headlines the movie alongside Megan Fox. That's a movie star pairing that will definitely send the movie straight into the top 10.

In the movie, which takes place in the future, Fox plays Alice, a lifelike android that's employed by a father to help out around his house with his children when his wife falls ill from her heart condition. Before long, Alice begins to show signs of danger as she oversteps the necessary responsibilities of AI. It might be a little chilling, but there's some steamy scenes, too!

Burlesque

  • Release Year: 2010
  • Director: Steven Antin
  • Cast: Christina Aguilera, Cher, Stanely Tucci, Eric Dane, Cam Gigandet, Kristen Bell, Julianne Hough, Alan Cumming, Peter Gallagher
  • Rotten Tomatoes: 37%

Watch! Whenever Burlesque returns to Netflix, it's an immediate must-watch! No matter how many times you have seen the campy backstage musical, it's simply not enough. Considering its title, its an inherently sexy movie full of singing, dancing, romance, and over-the-top camp.

Grammy Award winner Christina Aguilera stars in the film as an inspiring singer from the midwest who lands in Los Angeles looking to make her dreams come true. She happens upon a rundown burlesque club run by Tess, played by Oscar winner Cher. It's a clash of new school and old school, and it's just so, so good, fun, and sexy. Never skip this one!

It Ends with Us

  • Release Year: 2024
  • Director: Justin Baldoni
  • Cast: Blake Lively, Justin Baldoni, Jenny Slate, Hasan Minaj, Brandon Sklenar
  • Rotten Tomatoes: 56%

Skip! Isn't it obvious why? Despite how It Ends with Us might have been marketed, it's not a movie that would be described as "sexy." Based on the Colleen Hoover book of the same name, the plot revolves around the heavy subject matter of domestic violence.

The misconceptions about the movie were partly the basis of the controversy surrounding its theatrical release. Still, the box office hit lands on Netflix starting on Dec. 9. If you're a fan of its stars, the book, or you're just curious and missed it theaters, give it a watch. But be aware of what its themes in the story and content actually are.
