Netflix always has just what you need when you're looking for something to watch. This month, the streaming giant has released and will be releasing many new unscripted titles on its platform. We're talking true crime documentaries, music docuseries, and all kinds of competition reality shows.
If you're looking for something interesting to watch, then you must check out our list below of the seven best new unscripted titles on Netflix in August 2024. We thought we'd kick off the list with the brand new Korean competition reality series, The Influencer, which premiered on Netflix on Aug. 6.
The Influencer
In The Influencer, we watch as 77 of Korea's most popular influencers compete in various challenges to determine who has the biggest influence. The last influencer standing is crowned the ultimate influencer and is given a grand prize of 300 million won. The contestants include RISABAE, PaniBottle, Shim Euddeum, Jang Keun-suk, Sia_jiwoo, KEJIMIN, and many others.
Love Is Blind: UK
Serving as a spinoff to Love is Blind, Love is Blind: UK follows a group of lucky singles all living in the United Kingdom who decide to participate in an unconventional social experiment hoping to find love.
Starting off in soundproof pods, the singles try to find their match sight unseen. After making a romantic connection, a couple has the opportunity to propose where they get to see each other for the first time. Following the proposal, the couple then goes on their honeymoon before returning to the real world to prepare for their nuptials. It's when they enter back into the real world that things get serious.
Episodes 1-9 are already streaming on Netflix. The final batch of episodes (episodes 10-11) will be available to stream on Aug. 21.
Blue Ribbon Baking Championship
In Blue Ribbon Baking Championship, we watch 10 award-winning bakers from across the United States as they compete against each other in the Blue Ribbon Baking Championship for the chance to win $100,000.
American Pie's Jason Biggs hosts, while American chef and author Sandra Lee co-hosts and judges. Former White House Executive Pastry Chef Bill Yosses and accomplished baker Bryan Ford also serve as judges in the competition reality series. You can stream the entire eight-episode first season on Netflix right now.
Inside the Mind of a Dog
Have you ever wanted to know what goes on in your dog's mind on a daily basis? If so, you should check out the documentary film Inside the Mind of a Dog on Netflix. With Rob Lowe as narrator, this documentary explores the relationship between dogs and their human companions. It helps dog owners better understand how dogs think and why they behave the way they do.
Worst Ex Ever

Worst Ex Ever comes from the same creators of the popular true crime docuseries Worst Roommate Ever, and it explores the dark side of romantic relationships. Consisting of four episodes, viewers follow four separate relationships that went wrong. It also features testimonials, real bodycam footage, and animated reenactments.
Untold: The Murder of Air McNair
Netflix release date: Aug. 20, 2024
This true crime documentary charts the rise to stardom of former NFL MVP quarterback Steve McNair and examines the details surrounding his murder in 2009. In addition, Rodney Lucas and Taylor Ward directed Untold: The Murder of Air McNair.
Pop Star Academy: KATSEYE
Netflix release date: Aug. 21, 2024
Katseye is a new global girl group formed by HYBE and Geffen Records. The group's official members are Daniela Avanzini, Manon Bannerman, Lara Raj, Megan Skiendiel, Sophia Laforteza, and Yoonchae Jeong. However, it wasn't just a simple audition process for them to make the group.
