Will Ferrell's best comedy film is now on Netflix (watch it whenever you need a laugh)
In my opinion, Will Ferrell is arguably one of the funniest actors and comedians. That's why I'm so excited that another one of his films is now available to stream on Netflix. I'm talking about the box office hit, Step Brothers, and I can't tell you how many times I've watched this hilariously funny movie. It's had to be at least a dozen times. Seriously!
Sadly, Netflix doesn't carry that many Will Ferrell films on its platform. As of March 2024, the streamer only carries four movies of his: The Other Guys, Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga, Between Two Ferns: The Movie, and now Step Brothers. We're keeping our fingers crossed that Netflix releases more of his content in the near future. Maybe even Barbie? I know... That's not likely to happen, but one can only hope. I'll just continue watching Step Brothers over and over again for now.
Step Brothers is a 2008 comedy film that Adam McKay directed from a screenplay he co-wrote with Ferrell. You might recognize McKay from his most recent Netflix movie, Don't Look Up, which is one of the streamer's most popular movies of all time. He and Ferrell are long-time collaborators who have worked on many films and TV shows together. They obviously make a great team, so here's to many more collaborations between the two!
Brennan Huff and Dale Doback are two immature, unemployed, grown men who still live with their parents in Step Brothers. But then one day, Brennan and Dale's worlds get turned upside down when Brennan's divorced mom marries Dale's widowed father, and they're forced to move in together. Now living as step-brothers, Brennan and Dale can't stand each other at all, and they quickly engage in an intense rivalry. But when this rivalry threatens to tear the entire family apart, Brennan and Dale must try to put their differences aside and work together to bring their parents back together.
Ferrell portrays the role of 39-year-old Brennan Huff, while John C. Reilly plays 40-year-old Dale Doback. In addition, Mary Steenburgen plays Brennan's mother, Nancy, while Richard Jenkins portrays Dale's father, Robert. Adam Scott, Kathryn Hahn, Andrea Savage, Ken Jeong, and many others join them in the cast.

Since Step Brothers is a movie that Netflix licensed, it won't be on the platform forever. That being said, we strongly recommend watching it as soon as possible before it's too late and it's removed. Now, go ahead and check it out on Netflix and see why many people consider it one of the funniest movies ever.
