What to watch on Netflix this week (June 10-14): Bridgerton, Ultraman, and more
By Reed Gaudens
This week on Netflix, it's all about Bridgerton. The second part of the massively successful third season makes its premiere with four new episodes that brings Colin and Penelope's sweeping love story to a romantic (and more than likely steamy) conclusion. If you're a Bridgerton fan, those four new episodes are all you care about this week.
But beyond Bridgerton season 3 part 2, Netflix also releases a decent handful of new content, including movies for the whole family, a talk show appearance from a major pop star, and plenty more titles to flesh out your weekly watch list. For more details on the highlights coming to Netflix during the week of June 10-14, keep reading and decide what you'll be watching!
Bridgerton season 3 ends
As much as we all hated the waiting game between parts 1 and 2 and would have rather had Netflix drop the entire season at once, time positively flew by. If feels like Bridgerton season 3 part 1 was just making its premiere yesterday, and everyone was talking about that carriage scene. Not to mention, part 1 ended on a cliffhanger with plenty of implications to allow our imaginations to run wild.
In the trailer for season 3 part 2, there's an intriguing dramatic shift going down in the back half of the season as Penelope's relationship with Colin heats up and the reality of her double life as Lady Whistledown threatens to tear it all down. There's true love on the line as Penelope considers her next move. Don't miss a single second of season's conclusion when it arrives on June 13!
Ultraman: Rising premieres
Since Bridgerton isn't for the kids, here's something to watch with the whole family. The new Netflix original animated film Ultraman: Rising premieres on June 14, and it will have younger audience members glued to the screen with its bright colors and exciting action. You don't even have to be a kid to enjoy the movie, but it sure will awaken the kid inside!
Ultraman: Rising centers on an athlete who returns home to Tokyo as his Ultraman superhero persona as the city faces an attack from monsters. Along the way, he winds up caring for and raising one of the baby monsters, which won't be as easy as he might have assumed. It's a thrilling and heartwarming film that's the perfect choice for a family movie night this week.
David Letterman catches up with Miley Cyrus
My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman returns with its fifth season, but this time around, the season seemingly only contains two episodes. In one episode, Letterman sits down for a conversation with former basketball player Charles Barkley, and the two hit the links for a game of golf as well. In the second episode, Letterman chats with Miley Cyrus.
The trailer for the episodes reveals that Cyrus will be performing on the show, as she invited him to attend a private performance with a small crowd. The newly minted two-time Grammy Award winner jokes about her fear of being fired from a job as well muses about how she landed the role as Hannah Montana. It's going to be an amazing and characteristically hilarious season of My Next Guest.
