Miley Cyrus reveals biggest fear and performs on David Letterman's My Next Guest season 5

My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman returns with a brand-new season this summer, and season 5 has two huge stars. Netflix will release the two all-new episodes featuring sit downs with Grammy Award winning singer Miley Cyrus and former basketball star Charles Barkley on Wednesday, June 12.
Letterman last sat down with John Mulaney for a standalone My Next Guest special in April, but the talk show host and comedian is back with his fifth season, and though past seasons have contained between four to seven episodes, Variety confirms this round will just contain the two Barkley and Cyrus episodes.
In the trailer for the upcoming episodes, Cyrus playfully opens up to Letterman and admits that her biggest fear used to be getting fired from a job. However, with time and maturity, she's realized getting fired probably wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. "And now, how good does that sound?" She jokes that when she's told someone doesn't want her to do something, she thinks, "Thank God!"
The trailer also previews Letterman's time on the golf course with Charles Barkley and their conversation together, but it's the tease of Cyrus performing that's perhaps the most exciting aspect of this season. "I turned it around on him and said, 'You can be in my show,'" she says into the microphone in front of a small audience and Letterman, who she's presumably referring to.
Cyrus is coming off one of the most successful years of her career, having just nabbed her first two Grammy Award wins for her song "Flowers." The song from Album of the Year-nominee Endless Summer Vacation became the singer's biggest song ever, surpassing the likes of "The Climb," "Party in the U.S.A.," and "Wrecking Ball."
The clip doesn't reveal which of her hits she'll be performing in the episode or whether she'll be covering a classic, as she's known to do and absolutely slay Kelly Clarkson-style, but I truly think Letterman could have his most-watched episode yet. A performance, some Hannah Montana tea, and that classic Miley Cyrus wit? My Next Guest just became can't-miss viewing.
