Sweet Home season 3 is coming to Netflix in July

Sweet Home season 3 is officially coming to Netflix soon! We have some good news and some bad news to share for Sweet Home fans.

Netflix just announced, via a press release, that Sweet Home season 3 will premiere on July 19, 2024. That's obviously great news! Netflix renewed the series for season 2 and season 3 in June 2022, almost a year and a half after the series premiered in December 2020.

The second season of Sweet Home was released on Dec. 1, 2023, so the wait between season 2 and season 3 is going to be much shorter than the gaps between new seasons of most Netflix shows.

Netflix also announced the news on X (formerly known as Twitter) and shared a look at the new key art for Sweet Home season 3. Netflix has not released the trailer for season 3 yet, but with a release date coming so soon, we can expect to see the trailer in within the next few weeks. We'll share the trailer as soon as possible!

Sweet Home season 3 will be the final season

In addition to announcing the July 19 release date for season 3, Netflix also confirmed that Sweet Home season 3 will be the final season of the original series. We know that's not the news fans want to hear, but at least the show isn't getting canceled.

In the press release, Netflix shared what the third season will be about:

"In Season 3, the line between monster and human blurs with each passing moment and humanity grapples with the emergency of neohumans in a world on the brink of annihilation, marking the climax of the monsterization saga."

Netflix also confirmed who will be returning to the main cast for season 3, including Song Kang, Lee Do-hyun, Lee Jin-uk, Oh Jung-se, Lee Si-young, Kim Sia, Jinyoung, Yoo Oh-seong, Kim Moo-yeol, and Ko Min-si. We're also expecting to see a few new cast members in season 3, but we'll just have to wait for Netflix to share that information.

There's no doubt that Sweet Home season 3 is one of the most highly anticipated new seasons of Korean original series coming to Netflix in 2024. Squid Game, the biggest Netflix series of all time, also returns for season 2 on Netflix this year. I think it's safe to say it's a great time to be a fan of Netflix's Korean shows!
