Because there's so much new content at our fingertips each month, week, and weekend, deciding what to watch can be overwhelming. Do you check out the buzzy new show that everyone's talking about? Is that movie that just dropped worth watching? Should you avoid anything new entirely and watch your favorite comfort show for the millionth time?

There's nothing wrong with binge-watching any of your comfort shows, but this weekend, Netflix has released some great new releases that should have a place on your watch list. Of course, Emily in Paris season 4 part 2 is a given and a weekend must-watch. The second half of the fourth season premiered on Sept. 12 and delivered some of the show's most shocking twists yet.

But beyond Emily in Paris, what else does Netflix have to offer this weekend? A fan-favorite and underrated Stephen Amell series, the latest Netflix original movie from Joey King, and a gripping documentary are all on the menu. Check out our recommendations below!

Heels seasons 1 and 2

Watch! No, it's not a show about shoes. Arrow star Stephen Amell headlines the wrestling drama series Heels as Jack Spade, a "heel" in his professional wrestling league. Alexander Ludwig also stars as his brother and rival Ace. The series first premiered on Starz back in 2021 and aired for two seasons before getting canceled in 2023. Now that both seasons are coming to Netflix for the first time on Sept. 15, Heels looks to catch a second wind. Don't miss your chance to binge-watch all 16 episodes when the series hits Netflix this weekend.

Uglies

Skip! On paper, Uglies appears as every bit of the must-watch you would expect. The new Netflix original movie is based on the Scott Westerfeld best-seller of the same name, and the cast includes huge Netflix stars like Joey King, Chase Stokes, Keith Powers, and Laverne Cox. However, the dystopian sci-fi movie doesn't particularly offer anything new to the genre, especially if you were a fan of the Divergent Series a decade ago. There's action and thrills to be had in Uglies, sure, but for most Netflix viewers, this one will be a skip over the weekend.

Into the Fire: The Lost Daughter

Watch! The new Netflix documentary (not a documentary series, just a documentary) Into the Fire: The Lost Daughter premiered on Sept. 12 and quickly entered the top 10 most popular movies list. The film centers on a woman who gave her daughter up for adoption over three decades ago learning she has since gone missing. The gripping story delves into the birth mother's 10-year quest to learn the truth about what happened to her daughter. If there's one documentary you check out this weekend, make it Into the Fire: The Lost Daughter.

More to watch on Netflix this weekend:

  • The Perfect Couple
  • Emily in Paris
  • The Circle
  • Outla
  • Edge of Tomorrow
  • Black Mass
  • Outlaw
  • How to Get Away with Murder (leaving Sept. 30!)
