Netflix new releases coming in September 2024

When it comes to summer, the season was good to us as far as Netflix new releases are concerned. The summer months brought us new episodes of Bridgerton, Cobra Kai, Sweet Tooth, and so many other Netflix originals as well as popular movies like Atlas, A Family Affair, and Trigger Warning. Not to mention, there were other hits like Baby Reindeer and Supacell. But fall will be even better.

September boasts big stars on Netflix by the likes of Nicole Kidman, Kristen Bell, Elizabeth Olsen, Carrie Coon, Natasha Lyonne, and Joey King in new movies and shows that will set the top 10 ablaze. The month also celebrates the conclusion of Emily in Paris season 4 and launches some of the most exciting new titles of the year so far.

The Perfect Couple

Release Date: Sept. 5

A new limited series starring Nicole Kidman, The Perfect Couple is based on the book of the same name by Elin Hilderbrand. In the series, a newcomer to the wealthy Winbury family watches as the perfect facade crumbles as a murder mystery plays out on the beaches of Nantucket. The stacked cast also include Liev Schreiber, Eve Hewson, Dakota Fanning, Meghann Fahy, Billy Howle, Jack Reynor, and more. It's for sure going to be one of the biggest Netflix shows of September!

Emily in Paris season 4 part 2

Release Date: Sept. 12

Emily in Paris returns with the second half of season 4 in September, and it's sure to be a can't-miss conclusion to an exciting season. The new episodes tease a continued push and pull between the two main men in her life, Gabriel and Alfie. Season 4 will also take Emily to Rome for a special holiday, and speaking of the holidays, Emily seemingly gets into the Christmas spirit for the first time. Don't miss the last five episodes of season 4 that are sure to deliver another jaw-dropping cliffhanger.

Nobody Wants This

Release Date: Sept. 26

Kristen Bell and Adam Brody teaming up for a romantic comedy series is what dreams are made of... at least my dreams. The very funny duo star in Nobody Wants This, which comes from creator Erin Foster and centers on an agnostic woman falling for a rabbi. What could go wrong? The 10-episode first season makes its premiere this fall on Sept. 26, and if it's not a critical hit and a ratings darling that fans love and spawns at minimum four seasons, I don't know what's going on.

Uglies

Release Date: Sept. 13

Nicole Kidman isn't the only A Family Affair star debuting a new Netflix original in September. Joey King returns to the streamer with a new movie, and no, it isn't another Kissing Both sequel. King stars in the sci-fi teen drama Uglies, which is based on the Scott Westerfeld book of the same name and centers on "uglies" who can become "pretty" at 16. But King's character could be the one to change this society's rules. Check out the new movie when it premieres this fall.

His Three Daughters

Release Date: Sept. 20

Carrie Coon, Natasha Lyonne, and Elizabeth Olsen. Are you already sold? I know I don't need much more convincing to check out the drama film His Three Daughters when it makes its streaming premiere on Netflix on Sept. 20. The amazing trio of actresses star as sisters who work to repair their fractured relationships as they care for their father. The movie's for sure one of Netflix's awards season contenders, so make sure to add His Three Daughters to your watch list.
