My Life with the Walter Boys season 2 begins filming (and adds new producers!)

Where are all the My Life with the Walter Boys fans? Get ready to jump for joy because you're going to love what we're about to say. The cameras have officially started rolling on the highly anticipated second season! This means we're one step closer to seeing Jackie, Cole, Alex, and the rest of our favorite characters back on our screens.

We had learned of several rumored production schedules. Initially, filming was rumored to start in mid-May 2024. Then, there was a rumor that production got pushed back to July. Now, we have confirmation that the cast and crew have begun shooting My Life with the Walter Boys season 2 in Calgary, Canada. Netflix announced this good news via its official X account. Along with the announcement, the streaming giant shared a photo of Nikki Rodriguez (Jackie), Noah LaLonde (Cole), and Ashby Gentry (Alex). Check it out below.

Shortly after news broke that production had begun, Gentry was quick to share the news with his 560k followers on Instagram via an Instagram story. The story shows a photo of Gentry and many of his fellow My Life with the Walter Boys castmates. Over the photo is text reading, "Good to be back [heart emoji]."

Melanie Halsall, who developed the hit teen drama series, is back as showrunner on the second season with Ed Glauser returning as an executive producer. Jason Priestley, who directed a couple of episodes from the first season, will return to direct multiple episodes in season 2 as well as serve as a producer. In addition, Becky Hartman Edwards (Firefly Lane, The Bold Type) joins the season 2 crew as an executive producer.

When it comes to the My Life with the Walter Boys season 2 cast, Rodriguez, LaLonde, Gentry, Sarah Rafferty, Marc Blucas, Connor Stanhope, Johnny Link, Corey Fogelmanis, and Jaylan Evans are all confirmed to be returning as series regulars. Zoë Soul, who plays Hayley and was a series regular in season 1, will return for season 2 but as recurring.

Joining the recurring cast list for season 2 are Isaac Arellanes, Myles Perez, Alex Quijano, Ashley Tavares, Dean Petriw, Alix West Lefler, Lennix James, Alisha Newton, Ellie O’Brien, Kolton Stewart, Mya Lowe, Gabrielle Jacinto, Jesse Lipscombe, and Nathaniel Arcand.

The first season ended with Jackie kissing Cole before leaving Silver Falls with her uncle to go back to New York for the summer. While plot details for My Life with the Walter Boys season 2 are being kept secret, Jackie will obviously have to return to Colorado once the summer is over. But what will she come back to? What will her relationships with Cole and Alex be like? We can't wait to find out when My Life with the Walter Boys makes its return with its second season on Netflix!
