Kira Kosarin plays Betsy Kelso in That '90s Show: Get to know the star!

That '90s Show part 3 made its premiere on Aug. 22 and wrapped the hilarious teen sitcom's second season. While the new episodes included Leia making some big moves and Eric landing a dream job, there's one character introduced in part 3 that will have everyone talking: Betsy Kelso!
Back in the seventh season of That '70s Show, Betsy was born to parents Kelso (Ashton Kutcher) and Brooke Rockwell (Shannon Elizabeth). While neither Kelso nor Brooke make an appearance in That '90s Show part 3, their adult daughter Betsy arrives in Point Place to stir the pot for her little brother Jay.
For some viewers, especially younger ones with knowledge of recent Nickelodeon shows, the actress who plays Betsy Kelso will a familiar face, but others will be meeting her for the first time. Here's everything to know about Kira Kosarin, the latest That '90s Show cast member!
Kira Kosarin stars in Nickelodeon's The Thundermans
Even though Betsy Kelso would technically be around 17 or 18 years old based on her birth in 1979 and That '90s Show part 3 taking place in 1996, Kira Kosarin is 26 years old (as of August 2024). The actress was born on Oct. 7, 1997 in New Jersey.
After making her television debut in an episode of the Disney Channel's Shake It Up in 2012, Kosarin scored the starring role as Phoebe Thunderman in Nickelodeon's superhero family sitcom The Thundermans in 2013. She starred in all four seasons and 98 episodes of the series. The Thundermans ended in 2018 but returned for the 2024 movie The Thundermans Return, which spawned a brand-new spinoff series that she will also star in.
Beyond The Thundermans, Kosarin has also appeared in the movies Lucky and Supercool and episodes of the series School of Rock, Knight Squad, All About the Washingtons, Good Trouble, Welcome to the Wayne, and Light as a Feather.
She's also a singer, a YouTube vlogger, and a wife!
In addition to being a talented actress, Kira Kosarin is also a crafted singer and musician. In 2019, she independently released her debut album called Off Brand, and after signing with Republic Records in 2022, she dropped a new single called "Mood Ring" and an EP called Something New. She's released a number of songs, including the most recent 2023 releases "Sunday Best" and "Before the Sad Sets In."
Kosarin captures her travel adventures on camera and shares them with her 1.2 million YouTube subscribers. Whether she's filming a new season of The Thundermans, attending the Kids' Choice Awards, or playing her music, she shares exciting and intimate videos for her longtime fans. Kosarin began a relationship with musician Max Chester, who she has collaborated with on music, in 2020 before getting engaged in July 2023 on a trip to Greece.
