With Chaos Theory ending on a major cliffhanger that left us gasping and wanting more, it's unsurprising that many are hoping for a swift release of season 2.

However, fans may need to slow down as currently, as of the beginning of June 2024, Jurassic World: Chaos Theory has not been renewed for a second season by Netflix. Given that the highly successful prequel series, Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous, ran for five seasons, we would be highly surprised if Chaos Theory only received a one-season run.

According to What's On Netflix, it's "more likely" that Chaos Theory was greenlit for more than one season when it was ordered by the streaming giant, possibly for two or maybe even three seasons at least. Netflix might just be waiting to announce its return to our screens.

We're expecting an official update soon, so stay tuned!

BROOKLYN IS ALIVE! While we were lead to believe that Brooklyn had died in an Allosaurus attack, the finale revealed she is alive but lost her left arm in the incident.

In an unexpected turn of events, it was revealed that "Ronnie, Darius’ former boss at the DPW, has been secretly communicating with Brooklyn" and helping her survive and investigate the illegal dinosaur smuggling ring.

Brooklyn is shown with an investigation board about the conspiracy, including a photo of the reunited Nublar Six, suggesting she chose not to reveal her survival to them yet for unknown reasons. This shocking cliffhanger sets up the group's continued pursuit of the truth in a potential season 2.

So, what could season 2 explore? The second season of the animated series could explore various loose ends, such as the pursuit of the dinosaur smugglers, unraveling Brooklyn's survival mystery, facing new dinosaur threats and experimentation, and the Nublar Six's emotional reunions are all potential storylines that could drive Jurassic World: Chaos Theory season 2.

With so many thrilling possibilities, fans are in for an epic adventure if the series returns!

According to reports, if Jurassic World: Chaos Theory follows a similar release schedule to Camp Cretaceous, then the wait for its return will be rather short!

Camp Cretaceous graced our screens with five seasons, all released between 2020 and 2022. On average, a new season was released "every five and a half months". Fans waited four months at its shortest, and at its longest, fans waited seven months.

Therefore, if Chaos Theory follows the same pattern, we might see the second season as early as September 2024 or as late as December 2024.
