Harry Connick Jr. wrote the Find Me Falling soundtrack's title song

This summer, Netflix has been on a roll with its original romantic comedy movies, kicking off the season on Mother's Day weekend with the Brooke Shields and Miranda Cosgrove starrer Mother of the Bride and keeping things going with the movie star spectacle A Family Affair with Nicole Kidman, Zac Efron, and Joey King. Where could Netflix possibly go from there?!

Well, the streamer kept the romance and comedy rocking with the Harry Connick Jr. rom-com Find Me Falling, in which in the Grammy and Emmy Award winning musician and actor leans on his musical talents to play a musician, too. John Allman's career as a rock star has seen better days, leading him to seek refuge from his latest flop in the Mediterranean. But his escape in Cyprus has surprises.

John's status as a celebrity prevents him from remaining under the radar for long, but run-ins with fans recognizing him is the least of his concerns when he winds up reuniting with a past significant other. As much as love plays an important role in the story, so does music. The songs featured in Find Me Falling are extremely personal to the movie, especially since Connick wrote two of them!

While there are many traditional songs featured in the movie performed by Ali Fumiko Whitney, who plays Melina, there are a number of original songs performed by Connick's character John. The Grammy winner is credited as the sole songwriter of the songs "Girl on the Beach" and "Find Me Falling," the song that inspired the film's title. (Fun fact: It was previously titled The Islander.)

"Girl on the Beach" is a catchy pop-rock song that opens the movie and doubles as one of John Allman's biggest hits. Meanwhile, "Find Me Falling" really acts as one of the movie's thematic and musical centerpieces. The ballad is performed both by Connick and White separately, though "Find Me Falling" turns into a duet that's played over the movie's end credits.
