Griselda ending: What happens to Griselda and her family in the end?

Sofia Vergara is the Cocaine Godmother, Griselda Blanco, in the aptly titled Netflix Original miniseries Griselda, streaming now. What happens to her and the other characters on the show in the end?

Spoilers ahead for the Griselda finale

During the last episode of the limited series, we see Griselda and Rivi escape Miami and travel to Los Angeles to get away from the Ochoas and Rafa after being at the scene of the crime when Marta Ochoa overdoses.

Rafa manages to track Griselda down, so she implements her backup plan, which is to turn herself over to the police. Because they don't have evidence linking her to the murders, June and the rest of CENTAC only have Griselda on drug charges, meaning she won't get as much jail time.

Rivi initially appears to flip on Griselda and become a valuable witness for CENTAC to make the murder charges stick, but then he gets involved in a phone sex scandal with the district attorney's assistant that causes the entire case to fall apart. Griselda ultimately gets seven years behind bars, and only for the drug charges.

Everyone who dies in the final episode of Griselda

The sixth episode of Griselda deals with the fallout from everything that happened in episode 5. A lot of people die, including Dario, who gets gunned down after running away from Griselda with their son Michael. Michael is kidnapped and taken to live with Dario's mom in Colombia.

Additionally, while Griselda is serving time in jail, her other three sons, Uber, Ozzy, and Dixon, are all killed under suspicious circumstances. Each one is murdered and while we don't find out how who did it, it is heavily implied to be the work of Griselda's rivals, likely the Ochoa cartel.

What happens to Griselda in the end?

After getting out of prison, Griselda returns to the beach in Los Angeles where she spent a nice day with her family before she got arrested. The series wraps up by informing us that the real Griselda would later be assassinated by an unknown gunman in 2012 when she was 69 years old.

All six episodes of Griselda are now streaming on Netflix.
