This week, take a look at some of the fantastic psychological thrillers Netflix has to offer. The streamer has a great list of new titles for April 2024, including Ripley, a thriller series based on The Talented Mr. Ripley novel. Ripley (2024)

Ripley is a recently released eight-part limited series on Netflix starring All of Us Strangers actor Andrew Scott. It is based on Patricia Highsmith's 1955 novel The Talented Mr. Ripley, which was previously adapted for film in the 1999 same-titled release and 1960's Plein Soleil.

Created, written, and directed by Academy Award winner Steven Zailian, the series, set in the 1960s, is filmed in black and white and tells of a down-and-out con man, Tom Ripley. He is employed by a wealthy father who wants his prodigal son to return home, but during the job, his life becomes steeped in deceit, fraud, and murder. Also starring Johnny Flynn and Dakota Fanning.

Split (2016)

M. Night Shyamalan's Split is the 2016 film starring, Atonement actor James McAvoy as Kevin Wendell Crumb, a man diagnosed with dissociative identity disorder, with evidence of 23 personalities. When he abducts three teenage girls, he gets more than he bargained for, and this begins a war within himself and those contained inside him. Also starring Anya Taylor-Joy and Betty Buckley.

On the Line (2022)

On the Line is a psychological thriller starring Mel Gibson as the edgy on air personality Elvis Cooney. One night his show, which always brings a slew of disgruntled listeners, evolves into something quite dramatic when a guest caller brings Elvis' family into the mix causing the entire radio station to become involved in his game. Also starring Kevin Dillon, Enrique Arce, William Moseley, and Nadia Fares.

Fool Me Once (2024)

Fool Me Once is another excellent adaptation of Harlan Coben's same-titled novel. Following the murder of her husband, Maya (Michelle Keegan) swears she sees him on the nanny cam she uses to watch over her daughter. This leads to more disturbing events, which could possibly tie her husband's death to that of her sister. Also starring, Adeel Akhtar, Joanna Lumley and Richard Armitage.

The Autopsy of Jane Doe (2016)

André Øvredal's first English-language movie, The Autopsy of Jane Doe, is a supernatural thriller starring Brian Cox and Emile Hirsch as a father and son team of coroners who, while examining a Jane Doe (Olwen Kelly), experience unexpected supernatural phenomena.
