Geek Girl and 5 more teen shows on Netflix to watch in June 2024

On May 30, Netflix released the new teen comedy-drama series Geek Girl, and it quickly rose up the streamer's top 10 TV shows list. As of June 3, it's ranked at the No. 5 spot, meaning tons of people are streaming it. We've watched all 10 episodes of the first season, and we got to say, it was definitely an entertaining watch. We strongly recommend that you check it out this month, as well as several other teen shows already streaming on Netflix.

Geek Girl

Based on the best-selling young adult novel of the same name by author Holly Smale, Geek Girl follows socially awkward teen Harriet Manners who finds herself thrust into the fashion world when she accidentally draws the attention of a London modeling agent during a field trip. Jumping at the chance to reinvent herself, Harriet soon finds her life turned upside down as she transforms from geek to chic. But she quickly discovers that it won't be easy to balance high school and high fashion.

House of the Dragon star Emily Carey stars in the leading role of Harriet, with Sarah Parish, Emmanuel Imani, Liam Woodrum, Zac Looker, Tim Downie, Jemima Rooper, and many others joining her in the cast.

Raising Voices

Another teen show that's currently ranked on Netflix's top 10 TV shows list is the Spanish teen drama Raising Voices. As of June 3, it's sitting at the No. 7 spot. It's based on the novel Ni Una Más by Miguel Sáez Carral and centers around a 17-year-old girl named Alma who, after reporting that she's been sexually assaulted, finds her life upended and her relationships tested.

Alma's life was great before she reported a sexual assault to the police. She's a senior in high school, and she and her closest girlfriends are doing what typical teen girls do, like going to parties and talking about the latest gossip with each other. But everything changes, and she finds her world being torn apart when she reports being sexually assaulted. Many people at her school begin to question if her sexual assault accusation is true, including her friends. But regardless of this, Alma is determined to make her voice heard and bring the perpetrator to justice.

Skam España actress Nicole Wallace stars as Alma in the teen series. Joining her in the cast are Through My Window's Clara Galle, Aïcha Villaverde, and many others.

Heartbreak High

Heartbreak High is easily one of the best teen series streaming on Netflix. It's a reboot of the popular 1994 Australian teen show of the same name and follows a new generation of students attending Hartley High as they navigate love, sex, heartbreak, and all sorts of teen angst. There are two seasons of the show available to stream on Netflix, with a third and final season currently in the works. Ayesha Madon, Thomas Weatherall, Bryn Chapman Parish, Asher Yasbincek, James Majoos, Chloé Hayden, and many others star in this teen series.

Boo, Bitch

Boo, Bitch stars Lana Condor as a teen girl named Erika, who for most of her high school experience has lived her life safely under the radar. But one day, she her best friend Gia decide to make a last-ditch effort to live life to the fullest before graduation. This leads them to engage in a wild night out that ends with Erika waking up the next morning to find out she's crossed over to the spirit world and is now a ghost. Talk about an interesting premise! Joining Condor in the cast are Zoe Colletti, Mason Versaw, Aparna Brielle, Tenzing Norgay Trainor, and others.

Ginny & Georgia

Ginny & Georgia centers around a free-spirited single mother of two named Georgia who moves with her two kids, an angsty teen girl named Ginny and a kind-hearted young boy named Austin, to an affluent, picturesque town for a fresh new start after years on the run. Brianne Howey stars as Georgia, Antonia Gentry stars as Ginny, and Diesel La Torraca as Austin. Jennifer Robertson, Felix Mallard, Sara Waisglass, Scott Porter, Raymond Ablack, Katie Douglas, Chelsea Clark, and others are also in the cast. The first two seasons are currently streaming on Netflix, with a third and fourth season confirmed.

Outer Banks

It's P4L or Pogues for life! Outer Banks, also known as OBX, is a teen series following a tight-knit group of friends who embark on a journey to find a legendary treasure linked to the missing father of the group's ringleader, John B. Chase Stokes stars as the charismatic leader of the group, John B. Joining him in the cast are Madelyn Cline, Madison Bailey, Jonathan Daviss, Rudy Pankow, Austin North, Charles Esten, Drew Starkey, and Carlacia Grant. There are three seasons currently streaming on Netflix, with an Outer Banks season 4 set to be released in the second half of 2024.
