One of NBC's most underrated shows is coming to Netflix very soon

Netflix is really kicking off the year with a bang! Besides new original content, the streaming giant is also loading up its library with must-watch licensed shows and movies. This January, we've already seen the addition of former broadcast shows like Found, Prodigal Son, Veronica Mars, and others.

Now, the streaming giant has finally released its full list of shows and movies coming to its platform in February 2026. Do you know what we spotted on the list? Another broadcast show, but this one is still currently on the air. It's a fairly new NBC series that hasn't received much love. One might even consider it underrated, given that it's not talked about nearly as much as it deserves to be. Can you guess which show it is?

The Hunting Party is set for a February 2026 release on Netflix

If you guessed The Hunting Party, you'd be right! The complete first season is set to be released on Netflix on Sunday, Feb. 15, 2026. That's 10 episodes perfect for binging in one weekend or savoring over several nights. This is the first time this NBC series has ever streamed on the platform, so it’s a prime chance for fans and newcomers alike to catch up on all the drama.

Unfortunately, the exact time the episodes will drop is unknown. However, there's a chance The Hunting Party season 1 could be added to Netflix at 12:00 a.m. PT/3:00 a.m. ET on its release date. That's when Netflix typically rolls out new content on its platform. But again, this is just speculation. The actual release time could vary, so it’s best to keep an eye on Netflix on Feb. 15 to be among the first to start streaming this underrated crime drama series.

Created by JJ Bailey, The Hunting Party is a thrilling NBC drama starring Melissa Roxburgh as former FBI profiler Rebecca "Bex" Henderson, who is tasked with leading a team of elite specialists in tracking down dangerous escaped killers. It all begins when a top-secret prison, ominously nicknamed “The Pit,” mysteriously explodes, freeing some of the country’s most notorious and unpredictable criminals.

With the clock ticking and lives on the line, Bex and her team must race across the country to recapture each fugitive before they strike again. Joining Roxburgh in the cast are Nick Wechsler as Agent Oliver Odell, Patrick Sabongui as CIA agent Ryan Hassani, Josh McKenzie as Pit prison officer Shane Florence, and Sara Garcia as Army Intelligence officer Jennifer Morales. 

Back in May 2025, NBC renewed The Hunting Party for a second installment. That second season just recently premiered on Jan. 8. As of right now, it's unknown if this new installment will eventually be added to Netflix. But if it does, we won't see it until the entire season has finished airing on NBC.
