If you’ve ever fallen headfirst into a TV show, then you know exactly how gut-wrenching it feels when a network/streaming service suddenly pulls the plug. There’s no warning. No closure. No respectful goodbye.

One moment you’re fully invested in these characters and their messy, beautiful, chaotic lives, and the next moment you’re reading a cold, emotionless press release announcing the show has been “canceled.” And the worst part? It’s almost always just when the story is getting good. Back in May 2025, NBC went on a harsh cancellation streak, cutting multiple shows in quick succession. One of the unfortunate victims was the fan-favorite procedural drama Found.

Despite its loyal audience, the series just didn’t deliver the ratings NBC wanted. The network officially pulled the plug on May 9, and the loss still hits hard for many viewers. While there were efforts to shop Found around, nothing seemed to stick. Now, this short-lived series is reportedly headed to Netflix.

Found will reportedly start streaming on Netflix in January 2026

According to What's on Netflix, both seasons of Found will be released on Netflix at the top of next year. That's a total of 35 episodes. The rumored release date is Friday, Jan. 2, 2026. The reason we say "rumored" is because neither Netflix nor Warner Bros. Television has officially come out and confirmed the move.

However, it is worth mentioning that the streaming giant now has a title page for the show on its platform. So, while an official announcement is still pending, the presence of a Netflix title page strongly hints that the show’s arrival may be just around the corner.

Created by Nkechi Okoro Carroll, Found is a tense procedural drama that follows a team of investigators as they track missing persons and solve complex cases. The series centers mainly on Gabrielle “Gabi” Mosely, a public relations specialist and crisis manager, and her team of experts who have all been personally affected by kidnappings. Using their unique experiences, they work tirelessly to find missing people overlooked by the system.

But there's a twist. Gabi has a dark secret of her own. Having been kidnapped as a teenager, she later abducts the man who once held her captive, Hugh “Sir” Evans, and keeps him locked in her basement. Using his knowledge of criminal behavior and kidnapping techniques, Gabi turns her captor into an unconventional resource, helping her team solve cases while blurring the line between justice and revenge.

Shanola Hampton starred in the leading role of Gabi, while Mark-Paul Gosselaar took on the role of Sir. Also in the cast were Kelli Williams, Brett Dalton, Gabrielle Walsh, Arlen Escarpeta, Karan Oberoi, and others.

With Found coming to Netflix, does it mean that the streaming giant could eventually pick it up for new seasons? It's possible. It did so in the past with the former NBC series Manifest. However, there would have to be a strong show of fan interest, solid viewership numbers once it streams, and negotiations with the original producers to make a revival feasible. If Netflix sees enough demand, it could follow in the footsteps of other canceled shows that found new life on the platform.

The cast would also have to be down to return. Since it's been a while since the show's cancellation, many probably have already signed on to new projects. So, there's a lot that would need to align for a revival to happen. We can only hope!
