The Abandons was one of the first Netflix cancellations of 2026, and we weren't surprised at all. Debuting on Netflix in December 2025, the Western drama series had a strong start before quickly losing momentum. As with all the shows on this list, low viewership was the main culprit.
The Abandons takes place in the lawless Washington Territory of the 1850s. It centers around Fiona Nolan, a fierce matriarch who leads a found family of outcasts known as “the Abandons,” and Constance Van Ness, the icy head of a wealthy mining dynasty. When their claims collide over fertile, silver-rich land, tensions escalate into a deadly feud.
The Vince Staples Show

Announced alongside The Abandons as getting the boot was The Vince Staples Show, making it the second Netflix series to be canceled in 2026. The first season was loved by critics and viewers alike, but the second season just couldn't pull in a bigger audience. It only managed to attract 1.7 million views after its premiere. That said, it's not surprising that Netflix decided to cancel it, as the streaming giant has increasingly prioritized shows that can maintain strong and consistent viewership.
The Vince Staples Show stars rapper Vince Staples as a fictionalized version of himself. For two seasons, viewers watched as Vince navigated surreal and often hilarious situations while living in his hometown of Long Beach, California.
With Love, Meghan

Although not officially confirmed, With Love, Meghan is heavily rumored to be canceled. Despite drawing initial attention thanks to Meghan’s celebrity status and royal background, the series struggled to maintain consistent viewership across both of its two seasons. Terminator Zero

Terminator Zero was a great addition to the Terminator franchise, and it deserved better! Sadly, the sci-fi action anime got the axe after just one season. Why? According to series creator Mattson Tomlin, the show didn’t attract a large enough audience for its first season. This is a huge bummer for fans, especially since the first installment ended on a cliffhanger.
Terminator Zero follows a soldier from a dystopian future who travels back to 1997 Tokyo to protect an AI scientist and his family from a deadly Terminator. This Netflix cancellation will hurt deeply forever. Hopefully, we'll get another Terminator anime in the future!
