When One Piece premiered on Netflix back in August 2023, most people were hesitant to believe that a live-action adaptation of the beloved anime and manga could capture the same magic. But we were all pleasantly surprised because Netflix’s live-action One Piece turned out to be ridiculously good.
Seriously, this isn’t the kind of adaptation that makes fans cringe. It’s the one that makes you grin from ear to ear and think, “Wait, did they actually pull this off?” Because they did. Against all odds, Netflix managed to create a live-action series that feels every bit as adventurous, heartfelt, and downright fun as Eiichiro Oda’s original story.
Since its renewal, fans have been eagerly waiting for Netflix to announce the release date for the show's highly anticipated second season. For the longest time, all that was known was the release year. Back in May 2025, Netflix announced at its TUDUM event that One Piece season 2 would be released sometime in 2026. But now, the streaming giant has finally dropped the news we’ve all been longing for.

Netflix announces the One Piece season 2 release date
With 2025 quickly nearing its end, we knew there was a good chance that a release date announcement was just around the corner. But hearing Netflix finally confirm it is an entirely different kind of excitement. On Oct. 28, the streamer revealed that the One Piece season 2 release date is set for Tuesday, March 10, 2026. The new season will most likely drop at 12:00 a.m. PT/3:00 a.m. ET on this date. That's the typical release time for when Netflix drops new content on its platform.
The second season is also titled One Piece: Into the Grand Line, just as a heads-up. You might see this title pop up on the internet in place of the more generic One Piece season 2, so we don't want you to be confused.

There was speculation that the second season might be split up into batches, like what we've been seeing with many of Netflix's other popular shows. Fortunately, that won't be the case. Netflix has confirmed that One Piece season 2 will drop all at once, giving fans the full adventure in one epic binge-worthy experience.
This means viewers will be able to dive straight into the next chapter of the Straw Hat Pirates’ journey, from start to finish, without waiting weeks between episodes. Like season 1, the second season will have eight episodes.

Here are the episode titles for all of One Piece season 2 below:
- "The Beginning of the End"
- "Good Whale Hunting"
- "Whiskey Business"
- "Big Trouble in Little Garden"
- "Wax on, Wax Off"
- "Nami Deerest"
- "Reindeer Shames"
- "Deer and Loathing in Drum Kingdom"
The first season's episodes ranged from 50 minutes to a little over an hour each. Netflix hasn't announced how long the episode runtimes for season 2 will be, but we can probably expect a similar format.
By the end of the first season, the Straw Hat Pirates are back on track and making their way toward the Grand Line. Luffy is still determined on finding the legendary treasure and becoming the King of the Pirates. However, Nami spots something unusual on the map. She notices a river that flows uphill. Fans of the manga will recognize this as the Reverse Mountain, one of the key gateways into the Grand Line.
One Piece season 2 will follow the Straw Hat Pirates as they continue their adventures on the dangerous and exciting Grand Line. Some of the key places the crew will visit from the manga, besides Reverse Mountain, are Loguetown, Whiskey Peak, Little Garden, and Drum Island. Each location promises to test the Straw Hats in new ways. The crew will also find themselves facing new enemies and unexpected challenges this season.
Iñaki Godoy returns as Monkey D. Luffy. Mackenyu (Roronoa Zoro), Emily Rudd (Nami), Jacob Romero (Usopp), and Taz Skylar (Sanji) also return in their respective roles in the Straw Hat Pirates crew. New cast members include Mikaela Hoover (Tony Tony Chopper), Charithra Chandran (Miss Wednesday), Katey Sagal (Dr. Kureha), Joe Manganiello (Mr. 0), and so many others.
One Piece season 2 sets sail on Netflix on March 10!
