If you can believe it, 2026 has nearly come to an end. We have reached the last few months of the year, and the days and weeks only seem to be getting shorter and going by faster. But when it comes to the Netflix shows that are still to come before 2026 comes to a close, we have a lot to look forward to and plenty of series to make space for on our watch lists.
This fall, Netflix releases new seasons of The Diplomat, Nobody Wants This, The Hunting Wives, and more fan-favorite returning originals, as well as dropping the debuts of titles such as Below, East of Eden, The Altruists, and many others. On top of the biggest shows planned for release ahead of the new year, Netflix just announced release dates for two more limited series.
December 2026 will be a big month on Netflix, thanks to Emily in Paris season 6 dropping on Christmas Eve and bidding farewell to the Emmy Award-nominated romantic comedy series. But before we say goodbye to Emily, Netflix is giving us the can't-miss, star-studded limited series Pride and Prejudice and The Murder of JonBenét Ramsey in the weeks before.

Pride and Prejudice series sets release date on Netflix
We have been anticipating the release of Netflix's limited series adaptation of the classic Jane Austen novel all year after the streaming service confirmed it would be released in 2026. Finally, Netflix announced the Pride and Prejudice release date for Thursday, Dec. 3, with all six episodes of the series from writer Dolly Alderton and director Euros Lyn arriving all at once.
Netflix promises that this edition of Pride and Prejudice will be faithful to Austen's beloved novel, as Emma Corrin and Jack Lowden bring Elizabeth Bennett and Mr. Darcy to life. In the series, the five Bennett sisters become entangled with the bachelors that have moved into their neighborhood, sending them each through different but passionate love stories.
Pride and Prejudice has been one of the upcoming Netflix shows that's been hotly anticipated, just like every Austen adaptation. There's always a level of wariness, but with this cast, there's no doubt it will be great. Beyond Corrin and Lowden, the star-studded cast also includes Olivia Colman, Rufus Sewell, Daryl McCormack, Louis Partridge, Fiona Shaw, and many other familiar faces.
The Murder of JonBenét Ramsey coming in December
One week after Pride and Prejudice's release, Netflix releases its second new limited series of the month, the true crime adaptation The Murder of JonBenét Ramsey. The series was original intended to be released on Paramount+, but the streamer passed on adding the show to its roster once it had been finished. Netflix swooped in and picked up the show as a new original.
The Murder of JonBenét Ramsey releases on Thursday, Dec. 10 on Netflix and finds Academy Award nominees Clive Owen and Melissa McCarthy stepping into the shoes of John and Patsy Ramsey. The series explores the unsolved murder case that began when JonBenét Ramsey's body was discovered in her family's basement on Christmas in 1996 and continued with decades of mystery.
In addition to Owen and McCarthy leading the limited series, the cast is rounded out with Emily Mitchell (as JonBenét), Garrett Hedlund, Alison Pill, Shea Whigham, Owen Teague, Clifton Collins Jr., Jamie Ray Newman, and Margo Martindale. The Murder of JonBenét Ramsey comes to Netflix just ahead of the 30th anniversary of the six-year-old girl's unsolved murder.
