Emily in Paris says farewell with a very special holiday season 6 release date

We've said goodbye to our Hawkins heroes in Stranger Things, we've embarked on our last adventure with the Pogues in Outer Banks, and now it's finally time to take one last trip to Paris with Emily Cooper.

The final season of Emily in Paris had previously been confirmed to be released before the end of 2026, but Netflix has officially announced when Emily says goodbye. Each season, Emily in Paris has been a treat Netflix drops into our watch lists toward the end of each year, but this year, the release date for season 6 couldn't be more special.

Emily in Paris season 6 sets December 2026 release date on Netflix

Netflix announced that Emily in Paris season 6 releases on Thursday, Dec. 24, 2026, which is Christmas Eve. The Emmy Award-nominated romantic comedy has previously dropped at the end of December, a few days removed from the Christmas holiday, but the show has never actually released on a holiday. Well, Netflix is pulling out all the stops for Emily's last hurrah.

Unlike the fourth season, which released in two parts, Netflix won't be splitting up the release of Emily in Paris season 6 to drag out the final season. All 10 episodes of the sixth and final season will be released at once on Christmas Eve. It's the perfect holiday treat for friends and family (well, certain family members, of course) to watch together while feeling extra festive.

Along with the Emily in Paris season 6 release date announcement, Netflix also shared first-look images of Lily Collins and the cast in Greece, Paris, and more fabulous locations and teased what's in store for the last chapter of Emily's story with the official synopsis. It seems that our girl has more big decisions to make about her personal and professional lives before the series ends.

Check out the synopsis as shared by Netflix: "Stepping into a new era of ambition and romance, Emily faces defining choices that test her ultimate loyalties. But as unexpected career conflicts and shifting relationships force her to reevaluate where her true future lies, she must make one final choice between her career, her heart, and the life she’s built in Paris."

When we last left Emily in the season 5 finale, she received an invitation from Gabriel to join him on his trip to Greece, effectively kick starting the possibility of their endgame romance all over again. She had already broken up with Marcello and chose to remain in Paris working with Sylvie at Agence Grateau, but now she has the chance to reclaim her happily ever after with Gabriel.

Obviously, we know that she accepts his invitation since filming began in Greece back in May, but there's surely more twists and turn for Emily and Gabriel until the series' end. Mindy also finds herself in a love triangle of her own, caught between her engagement to Nico and her feelings for Alfie. Mindy might not make it down the aisle in season 6, but you never know what could happen.

Despite the release date being confirmed for Christmas Eve, Emily in Paris season 6 hasn't wrapped filming just yet. The cast and crew are expect to complete production by the end of September 2026. Collins will surely let us know when her Emily era has ended once and for all. For now, let's get excited for the trailer to be released in the coming months and the release of the final season in December!
