Netflix rom-com The Wrong Paris has a plot that implies the film should be funny. A young woman (Dawn) wants to escape her small-town environment in Texas and has been accepted to an art school in Paris, France. The issue is she can't afford the travel or to live there.
Dawn's sister talks her into auditioning for a Bachelor-type reality TV show to potentially make some quick money. The best part is that the show appears to be set in Paris. The caveat is that the series is, but not Paris, France, but instead, Paris, Texas.
This is not the setting Dawn had in mind, of course, but her life changes when she begins to have feelings for the show's bachelor, Trey. Will she still want to get out of Texas? Stay tuned.

Dawn will be played by Miranda Cosgrove, who appeared in Netflix's Mother of the Bride, as well as Nickelodeon series iCarly and Drake & Josh.
The role of bachelor Trey will be performed by Pierson Fode. Netflix viewers might have seen in before if they watched The Man from Toronto, and he appeared in TV series Animal Kingdom and Supergirl.
The film is directed by Janeed Damian, who has helmed two previous Netflix movies, Falling for Christmas and Irish Wish. Nicole Heinrich wrote the script.
The release date for the film is September 12, and Netflix dropped a first-look photo on X/Twitter on Tuesday. It looks like something is about to happen.
