There's nothing more comfroting to watch, especially in the summertime, than a great romantic comedy. Sure, you could argue that this is the perfect time of the year to take in all of the huge blockbuster action movies, which you also can't go wrong with. But you should never count out the allure of a good rom-com, as evidenced by the success of Office Romance on Netflix.
Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein star in the new Netflix original movie that centers on a pair of new coworkers who secretly begin an intimate physical relationship, which also quickly blossoms into love, in spite of their company's strict policy on work relationships. Office Romance earned middling reception from critics though fans loved the humor. But if you're looking for even more...
Ticket to Paradise added to Netflix in June 2026
Netflix answered our rom-com prayers and added a truly underrated title of the genre starring two of its biggest heavyweights. Julia Roberts and George Clooney reunited for the romantic comedy Ticket to Paradise in 2022, and the movie is now available to watch on Netflix as of June 9, 2026. Hot on the heels of Office Romance's success, there's no doubt this one will earn a significant bump.
Having collaborated for a number of films in the past, including the original Ocean's trilogy and Money Monster, Roberts and Clooney reteamed for their long-awaited return to romantic comedies with Ticket to Paradise. In the movie, the pair star as David and Georgia, a long-time divorced couple who reunite for their daughter's surprise wedding in Bali to hatch a sabotage scheme.
David and Georgia want to prevent their daughter Lily (Kaitlyn Dever) from rushing into a marriage and repeating the same mistakes they made years ago. However, as they make conscious attempts to stop the wedding without saying as much to their daughter, David and Georgia accidentally rekindle their flame and remember why they fell in love. But can a second chance work?
That's the question that Ticket to Paradise asks through a series of truly fun antics and hilarious moments. While it wasn't as big of a box office draw as you might expect from two Oscar-caliber movie stars combining their massive star power for a rom-com, it's still one of the best modern romantic comedies we have received. Beyond the leading stars, the full cast is great, too.
Of course, viewers know and love Kaitlyn Dever from her roles in such titles as Last Man Standing, Unbelievable, Dopesick, Apple Cider Vinegar, Booksmart, and The Last of Us. The movie also features a memorable supporting role from Scream Queens and American Horror Story favorite Billie Lourd as well as an unexpectedly hilarious turn from Emily in Paris star Lucas Bravo.
Even though Ticket to Paradise earned a 56% score on Rotten Tomatoes and wasn't particularly loved by critics, audiences loved it much more as the Popcornmeter on Rotten Tomatoes sits at 87%. And as a bonus, there's no surprise graphic nudity in this movie, which is PG-13, compared to Office Romance. The new movie gave viewers quite the shock during a very memorable moment.
Watch Ticket to Paradise while it's available to stream on Netflix.
