The latest list of top-viewed Netflix shows and movies is now out on TUDUM for the week ending February 2. There’s quite a change around from the previous week with several new entries. Many of those have come from new content added recently for viewers.

That's very evident from the top five movies with three new entries to the list this week. They include a couple of older films which are attracting a lot of viewers. Look out also for a fun family feature to make quite a varied list of the five most viewed.

It’s big changes among the shows, too, with three new top-five entries there and another varied mix of styles. It’s evident that new seasons continue to be a huge factor. Again they drive interest in the earlier seasons as well as the latest just released. There’s also a huge blast from the past with a 30-year-old true story. And something new for the youngest of kids too.

5 - The Lovely Bones

With Peter Jackson behind it, this 2009 supernatural drama was always going to get attention. A strong cast list with Mark Wahlberg, Rachel Weisz, Susan Sarandon, and Stanley Tucci means you’d expect a lot from it. The movie had some less complimentary reviews, but Jackson’s direction was praised, and an Academy Award nomination for Tucci suggests it’s worth seeing.

4 - The Secret Life Of Pets 2

The first version of this animation was a big success back in 2016. So much so that a second in the series was almost inevitable. More fun and capers with Max and Duke and the rest of the gang.

3 - Under The Boardwalk

Animations are often popular as is very much the case with this fun family caper from 2023. A bunch of shellfish, some good songs and fun jokes, and some great voiceovers bring it all to life. A super family movie for all ages.

2 - The Sentinel

This political thriller from 2006 has a stellar cast led by Michael Douglas, Kiefer Sutherland, Eva Longoria, and Kim Basinger. When first released the reviews weren't favorable, but there are some decent action scenes and a storyline to follow. It has just arrived on Netflix so viewers have probably been attracted by the plot outline and that strong cast.

1 - Back in Action

Cameron Diaz and Jamie Foxx with their new comedy action movie. Previously a pair of spies, they backed off to raise a family instead. They are dramatically forced back into action again and have to take their kids with them this time.

5 - Ms. Rachel

There is a slight change in content as we switch to what is both educational and a life-saver at times to keep very young children entertained and learning. Rachel Accurso, Ms. Rachel, has just taken her YouTube content onto Netflix. It’s obviously going down very well. Aimed at infants it incorporates singing and playing activities with very early learning.

4 - The Night Agent: Season 1

The first season of this thriller continues to feature highly with its mix of FBI agents, spies, and government secrets. It’s all action as Gabriel Basso, playing Peter Sutherland, tries to work out who the traitor is and keep himself alive while doing so. It’s a definite binge-watch you will be hooked on.

3 - American Manhunt: O.J. Simpson

Amazingly it’s 30 years since this case hit the headlines. This documentary revisits the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman, along with the role of O.J. Simpson. Fresh interviews with some of those involved in the investigation and the trial aim to shine a fresh light on what happened.

2 - The Recruit: Season 2

It’s been a two-year wait to see Noah Centineo back in action in this second season. Has the spy thriller hit the same high level as the first season though? So far, it’s looking that way with a very strong thumbs up from viewers, another just-watched show from Netflix.

1 - The Night Agent: Season 2

There have been some mixed reviews for this second season. Despite that, it retained the number-one spot for another week. Gabriel Basso stars as the agent caught up in mystery and deception within the US Government.
