Lena Dunham makes TV magic. Or, well...streaming magic. You can watch her series either place, but how many people sit in front of their TV nowadays? Perhaps your computer monitor is your home for downtime.

Let's also assume that you have watched a Dunham show at some point in your history. Likely, you loved HBO/Max's Girls. Maybe that was the first time you saw Adam Driver. Perhaps it's the first time you saw Dunham and wondered, "How can this unknown to me write a show so well?"

Here is some good news for you. Dunham is returning to television as she creates, writes, produces, and directs a new Netflix series titled Too Much. The show will be almost half of what the film The Holiday was about. Well, not really, but it's close.

When can you watch Lena Dunham's new Netflix show, Too Much?

The narrative follows an American (Jessica, played by Meg Stalter) who lives in New York but works way too much. She is also getting out of a long-term relationship and keeping all her friends at arm's length. She needs a change.

Jessica takes a job in London, where she meets Felix. Felix has a lot of issues, but Jessica is drawn to him anyway. Will they work out? Who knows? But the fun is in the watching, and this comedy helmed by Dunham, but produced in conjunction with the people that brought you Love Actually, is likely too good to miss.

When do you get to see this new series? Only on Netflix, of course, and it drops globally on July 10.

The cast seems perfectly suited to make Dunham's fantastic writing magical. There are faces you will know, some you don't, and some who deserve more screen time on other projects. That includes Will Sharpe, who plays Felix. Here are the leading players.

  • Megan Stalter as Jessica
  • Will Sharpe as Felix
  • Aylin Scott as Cheryl
  • Antonio Aakeel as Raven

Richard E. Grant, Rita Wilson, Stephen Fry, Rhea Perlman, and Andrew Rannells will make guest appearances, among others.
