It's no secret that The Diplomat season 4 is one of the most highly anticipated Netflix new releases of the year. The political thriller returns with new episodes on Oct. 15 after taking home its first Emmy Award win. Keri Russell is back as the fearless but understandably stressed Kate Wyler as she tackles the biggest political problem of her career and, quite possibly, her marriage.
But before we start binge-watching The Diplomat season 4 this fall, Netflix has another special treat for Russell's fans in the form of her most iconic series returning to the platform. If you were crossing your fingers for The Americans, that's the show this time around. Thankfully, Russell's breakthrough role in Felicity, the one that won her a Golden Globe, is returning to streaming.
Felicity seasons 1-4 being added to Netflix in October 2026
Netflix announced its latest nonexclusive content licensing agreement with Disney, which includes at least nine shows from the Disney umbrella coming to Netflix beginning this fall. Russell's college drama Felicity, which hails from The WB, is among these shows. All four seasons of the cult classic from J.J. Abrams will begin streaming on Netflix in the United States on Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2026.

Felicity was previously available to stream on Netflix in the past before it was eventually removed. After its first Netflix tenure, the series was then made available on Hulu, where it also streamed on Disney+ with the bundle. Even though the series is owned by Disney, it was removed from Hulu and hasn't been available to watch on a major streamer for far too long.
It could be better timing for Felicity to return to streaming. Not only is Russell heading back to our watch lists one week after the college drama with The Diplomat, but co-stars Scott Speedman and Scott Foley are also back on the small screen. Speedman leads the ABC crime drama RJ Decker, while Foley will soon be seen in the upcoming fourth season of Shrinking.
As much as we love their most recent work, it's time to relive the glorious past. Felicity first premiered on The WB back in September 1998, which means we're quickly nearing the show's 30th anniversary. Russell stars as the titular character Felicity Porter as she graduates high school in her native Palo Alto, California. However, she decides not to attend Stanford University as planned.
Instead, she follows her long-time crush Ben Covington (Scott Speedman) to the University of New York. After turning her life upside down to follow a new dream, Felicity begins to explore a world away from her parents and their expectations, which includes new friends, new relationship, and a possible new career path that doesn't include becoming a doctor like she intended.
Throughout the series, Felicity is caught in the greatest love triangle in television history between Ben and Noel (Scott Foley). It's time for a new generation of fans to join the debate that has been raging on for nearly three decades. All told, the series ran for four seasons, the duration of Felicity's college career, and produced 84 total episodes.
If you're looking for a sizable but still relatively quick binge-watch to start before or after The Diplomat season 4, Netflix serving up Felicity on Oct. 7 is the perfect pick.
