Do you need help finding the best shows on Netflix and avoiding the stinkers? Here is your easy way to find out what to watch and what to miss. It’s time again to reveal the top five most-viewed movies and shows across the US for the week ending June 8.
TUDUM has been updated, and we can share those two top five lists with you. Or, if you want to get ahead of everyone else, then check out what's new on Netflix this week.
Last week, it was a chunk of old movies that had people watching. That comes with a warning: while some are good family fun, one was rated as a bit of a stinker by many, so you may want to consider it a miss. Look out instead for a brand new and tense movie just released on the platform.
The top five most-viewed shows go in the opposite direction. They are all well worth seeing, and one is a real standout you shouldn’t miss. Check out the two top five lists below to see what to watch and what to avoid.
Top five most watched movies on Netflix week ending Jun. 8
5 - Now You See Me 2
How about a heist movie along the lines of Ocean’s Eleven, but with magic illusions as its theme? This 2016 release is a follow-up to a 2013 original. The movie delivers plenty of trickery and deception as the gang seeks to foil the FBI, but it doesn’t quite match up to the original.
4 - Wrath Of The Titans
Sometimes film studios can go a step too far in a film series. In this case, it was just one step with this film that proved to be a stinker. This is the sequel to the highly successful Clash Of The Titans from 2010. Set ten years later, it continued the storyline but not the box office glory. A third film, Revenge Of The Titans, was planned as a follow up but the idea was scrapped as this movie failed to impress. Despite that, it’s made it to the top five most-viewed movies.
3 - Bee Movie
DreamWorks Animation movies are always popular, as this appearance for Bee Movie from 2007 shows. Perhaps we could have expected more from a Jerry Seinfeld-led script and production, alongside Renee Zellweger. But the animation buzzes along with a storyline and jokes that will keep the whole family happy.
2 - Now You See Me
Yes, the original to that heist series is in the top five, too. Perhaps we are seeing a warming up ahead of a third movie due out later this year, Now You See Me: Now You Don’t. The original had a strong cast including Woody Harrison, Morgan Freeman, Mark Ruffalo, and Michael Caine at various points in the fun caper.
1 - Straw
Just out on Netflix comes Straw. Based on a struggling single mother, played by Taraji P. Henson, as the story unfolds, we see how crazy a bad day becomes for her. Watch out also for Gabrielle Jackson as the daughter struggling with medical issues, debt, and three jobs. Director Tyler Perry has a history of portraying black women being traumatized in his work; he’s not hiding that anywhere in this movie.

5 - Cold Cases: The Tylenol Murders
Back in 1982, a series of deaths in Chicago were linked to the use of Tylenol. That caused plenty of concerns given its wide usage and prompted a product recall to provide reassurance. This docuseries takes us back via interviews and information to try and find out more about what really happened.
4 - Raw: 2025 - June 2
It was the turn of Tulsa, Oklahoma, to host the live WWE bouts last week. The Raw series of live wrestling draws a hefty audience for its Monday screenings. This show had the last two Money In The Bank qualifiers as an added draw.
3 - Dept. Q
This dramatic cold case cops story has been setting social media alight with praise. It’s quite dark, sweaty, quirky, and complex. It’s a bit violent in places, but it has enough humor and style to get a great balance to all that. The cast is brilliant, and it’s great to see the way all the main characters develop.
2 - Sirens
It's still very witty, a sparkling and well-written comedy. But it’s slipped to second place as viewers move on to new shows. Sirens does have a classy and glossy edge as it tells the story of the trio of women played superbly by Meghann Fahy, Milly Alcock, and Julianne Moore.
1 - Ginny & Georgia - Season 3
Back for a third season, this popular, someday drama soars straight in at the top of the most viewed list. Brianne Howey plays Georgina, single mother of Ginny ( Anotnia Gentry) and Austin (Diesel La Torraca). The new season opens as we approach Georgina's trial, and it’s a roller coaster ride from there.
