While Netflix scares up some great horror content this month in honor of spooky season, there's also plenty of counter-programming available for those who aren't fond of chills and thrills. As always, you can check out any number of Netflix's hit action, drama, comedy, and animated titles for a movie night or binge-watch free of horror, gore, and jump scares.

But if you would rather turn the heat up a bit as fall temperatures begin to roll in, the streamer boasts a number of sexy movies and shows that should be on your watch list. Whether it's a tame romantic comedy, a throwback teen drama series that had parents clutching their pearls, or the new hit romantic drama series everyone's talking about, it's getting hot in here.

We're sharing five of the best sexy movies and shows to watch on Netflix in October 2024, beginning below with the Italian limited series Deceitful Love.

Deceitful Love

Currently burning up the daily top 10 most popular shows ranking, Deceitful Love made its premiere on Oct. 9 and quickly shot up the viewership leaderboard. Grey's Anatomy and Wild Cards star Giacomo Gianniotti sizzles up the screen as Elia, a younger man engaging in an affair with 60-year-old luxury hotel owner Gabriella (Monica Guerritore). Questions abound about Elia and his intentions, especially from Gabriella's children, who are concerned about their inheritance. Deceitful Love offers a steamy six-episode binge-watch that's impossible not to devour in one sitting.

Lonely Planet

Even though it's your average romantic comedy, Lonely Planet's actually anything but average. The R-rated rom-com stars movie stars Laura Dern and Liam Hemsworth as star-crossed lovers having a whirlwind age-gap romance in Morocco. The movie features so much intrigue and heartfelt intimacy, a different kind of sexy than a movie with in-your-face sexuality. Following its Oct. 11 premiere, Lonely Planet enjoyed success from viewers, ranking in the higher rungs of the most popular movies list. The chemistry between its leading stars is definitely worth the watch alone.

Beauty in Black

Tyler Perry's debut Netflix original series Beauty in Black arrives on Oct. 24, and it's sure to be one of the sexiest new shows of the fall season and possibly of the whole year. No one does juicy drama quite like Perry, and Beauty in Black looks to be another exciting entry in his long list of hits. In the series, two women move through live with different sets of privileges (or lack thereof), but they soon wind up crossing paths in inescapable ways. The series' first season contains 16 episodes, but it's being split into two halves beginning this fall. Don't miss this one!

Gossip Girl

No matter how many times you have watched Gossip Girl since its premiere in 2007 and conclusion in 2012, you can't go wrong with another rewatch. All six seasons of The CW's pop culture phenomenon return to Netflix in the United States on Oct. 29. These days, the storylines seem toned down compared to modern teen dramas like Euphoria, but back in the mid-aughts, Gossip Girl was under fire for its envelope-pushing sexuality and other heightened aspects of teens living adult lives. Still, it's one of the sexiest small-screen dramas and one of the best to boot.

Two Weeks Notice

With the start of a new month, there are always over a dozen movies added to Netflix. These movies typically include throwbacks and recent favorites that achieve renewed popularity as we all rediscover them years later. Most recently, rom-com titles like Wimbledon, First Daughter, Aloha, Win a Date with Tad Hamilton, The Prince & Me, and Two Weeks Notice arrived on Netflix and are the perfect watch. The 2002 rom-com Two Weeks Notice stars Sandra Bullock and Hugh Grant as a mismatched lawyer and billionaire couple. It's funny, it's sexy, and it's a great blast from the past.
