There are few shows that demand you watch live to avoid spoilers and The Walking Dead qualifies as one of those rare shows and even fewer are on network television. To think about networks like HBO and FX passing on this show about a group of survivors led by Sheriff Rick Grimes (Lincoln) in a world that’s overtaken with zombies and the nail-biting drama they experience has to give them a great deal of regret.

As easy as it would be to peg TWD as a “show about zombies” it is far more than that simple take. As one can imagine, being on the run in a world overrun with zombies tends to be an emotional time and we see people at their absolute worst and in fleeting moments, we can see the best of people in the worst of circumstances.
