4. The Seven Deadly Sins

This is the last of the Netflix Originals appearing on this list. The Seven Deadly Sins has just 26 episodes available right now, but those episodes will have you hooked quickly.

The title refers to a group of knights, formerly the most fearsome warriors in the kingdom. They’ve since disappeared, after supposedly trying to pull off a coup by assassinating another knight. When another group of knights, the Holy Knights, actually stages a coup ten years later, one of the surviving princesses of the Liones Kingdom, Elizabeth, decides she needs to see if the Seven Deadly Sins are really dead.

(Spoilers: they’re not.)

Each of the seven has their own quirks and personality, and Elizabeth helps bring a sense of comedy to the series as well since she’s a princess and hasn’t spent much time out in the world.

Plenty of reviewers on Netflix have begged for a second season, and here’s what we know. It’s coming at some point. There’s also a four-part miniseries which aired earlier this year; Netflix has made no signs of adding that anytime soon.

This series would be a great entry point into anime, but it’s also a great watch for longtime fans.
