Director: Yannick Dahan, Benjamin Rocher

Starring:  Claude Perron, Jean-Pierre Martins, Eriq Ebouaney

Police in Paris are after a notorious criminal responsible for the death of one of their own. When the policemen go after the criminal in his high-rise, they fail and are captured. Just when things couldn’t be worse between the criminal faction and the policemen, an event occurs that forces an allegiance that otherwise would be impossible.

The Horde is a film about circumstances and forced cooperation. A zombie Armageddon unfolds and the two sides become one in a war for survival. The constant pressure of the impending zombie outbreak only adds to the tension of police and criminals forced to work together when otherwise they would be killing each other.

This was the first zombie horror film I’ve seen coming out of France. Apparently the French do zombie movies as well as they do cheese and museums. The Horde sets the bar high for the international zombie horror genre.
