Netflix Tudum live 2025 was everything we wanted it to be. We learned that when series are dropping, we were entertained by Lady Gaga, and Sofia Carson was a very good host.
But we didn't watch because the event is like an awards show. We watch to learn about stuff. More specifically, when movies and series we want to watch are coming out.
It's difficult to fit everything into just a couple of hours, but Netflix did its best. Were we satisfied with the amount of information? Of course. Here are four of the biggest things we learned.
4 things of the biggest takeaways from Netflix Tudum Live 2025
Stranger Things season 5 release date confirmed
Many assumed, based on lots of rumors, that the final season of the iconic show would be released in two parts. As it turns out, the actual number is three. On November 26, the first four episodes of the eight-episode arc will be released at 8 pm ET. The next three episodes will drop at 8 pm ET on Christmas Day, and the finale will come out at 8 pm ET on New Year's Eve.
The year will be 1987, and it will be autumn (of course). The gang's goal is to kill Vecna, but no one knows where he is. What will happen in the end?
One Piece season 2 release date mostly set
The popular live-action series is coming back for season 2, and Mikaela Hoover (Beef, Superman, Guardians of the Galaxy) will join the cast. What we learned is that the series will be returning at some point in 2026.
Iñaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy, Mackenyu as Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Romero as Usopp, Taz Skylar as Sanji, Ilia Isorelys Paulino as Alvida, Jeff Ward as Buggy and Michael Dorman as Gold Roger will all return from season 1.
Lady Gaga can sing about Wednesday, too
Not only is Gaga joining the cast for season 2, which will premiere in early August and is split into two parts, with the second part coming in September, but Gaga can sing about the show, too. She performed a medley of tunes at the closing of the event. The "abracadabra" part will get stuck in your head if you go back and listen.
Matt Damon and Ben Affleck's The Rip will drop in January 2026 (we think)
Damon and Affleck were on hand to announce that their new crime movie collaboration will hit screens on January 16, 2026, we are told. Affleck has said, somewhat off-hand, that the studio in charge of producing the film has not yet given the project the green light, so maybe things will change.
