Stranger Things 5: Netflix announces release dates and trailer for final season

It was a party was Netflix Tudum Live 2025, but that is what we expected. We wanted to see the casts of our favorite shows, such as Squid Game, Wednesday, and Stranger Things, and we did. We also wanted to know about release dates, and we got several.

You might have already known through all the rumors about Stranger Things that the final season was going to be split into two (it turned out to be three...sort of), but we didn't know when part one of that would start. The assumption is that part two would come about a month after that.

We knew from an interview Finn Wolfhard conducted with People that filming for the final season had been completed and the cast had said their goodbyes. The only thing left was post-production and editing. As the Duffer Brothers and Shawn Levy are still involved, that should have been easy.

What we don't know is much of the storyline, because why would we need to know that? We know some kind of ending is coming and that the year will be 1987, and most of us want it to be a happy one, but how the creators wrap up the series is a mystery. The anticipation is a lot of the fun.

We did learn during the series Netflix Tudum Live presentation that Gaten Matarazzo does not appear t age. Maybe he will appear one day in a Netflix making of The Picture of Dorian Gray.

So, for the release date. The first part of the final season will drop on November 26 at 8 pm ET with four episodes. The second part of the eight-episode arc will be released on Christmas at 8 pm ET with three episodes, and the finale on New Year's Eve at 8 pm ET. Whew.
