Let the drama continue! Selling the OC season 3 arrives on Netflix in May 2024
Selling the OC season 2 was another great and drama-filled season. With how things ended, people have been waiting with bated breath for any new updates on Selling the OC season 3. No worries! We’re constantly gathering new information about the upcoming season to put in a guide to share with you. In fact, Netflix just dropped the official trailer and announced the release date!
Selling the OC season 2 was released on Netflix on Sept. 8, and it had been the talk of the town since its release. People couldn't get over all that occurred that season. While viewers got to see many more stunning, expensive properties, there was also tons of drama going on at The Oppenheim Group’s Orange County office. Rumors were swirling around, and friendships were tested.
At the end of the season, Alex Hall and Tyler Stanaland‘s relationship status was left up in the air as well as Alex’s friendship with Brandi Marshall. The Alexandra duo, Alexandra Jarvis and Alexandra Rose, seemed to have broken up as friends and business partners. And we can’t forget about the new addition to the cast, Tennesse native Ali Harper.
We can’t wait to see the cast return in Selling the OC season 3. But when will the new season make its way to Netflix? Here’s everything we know so far about Selling the OC season 3.
Selling the OC season 3 is officially happening
Yes, you read that right! A third season will be coming to Netflix in the future. When Netflix renewed the popular reality series for a second season back in January 2023, the streamer also renewed the show for a third season. Now that the second season is out, we’re getting closer to the release of the third season.
It appears that production had started in the summer of 2023. Although Netflix nor the Selling the OC team had announced that production had started on the third season at the time, it looks like the cameras were rolling last summer based on an Instagram post by Alex Hall. The post is dated June 5, 2023. However, it’s unknown if filming actually started in June, though. It could’ve started earlier. Production has since wrapped, and we'll be seeing the third season very soon.
When is Selling the OC season 3 coming to Netflix?
Get ready for my drama because Selling the OC season 3 is scheduled to make its way to Netflix on Friday, May 3, 2024! You can expect the entire third season to be released on the streaming platform at 12:00 a.m. PT/3:00 a.m. ET on this date. Of course, if you're in the Central time zone, you're looking at a release time of 2:00 a.m. CT on May 3.
Like the last two seasons, the third season will consist of eight episodes that are about 30 minutes long each. Now, let's take a look at the exciting trailer for a sneak peek of what's to come this season.
Uh oh! It looks like Alex Hall and Tyler Stanaland's budding relationship has reached a standstill. Meanwhile, new real estate agent Ali Harper is having a hard time learning the ropes of being an agent, while malicious gossip about Sean is being spread around the office.
But the trailer also makes it seem like Sean is spreading rumors about Austin. Austin confronts him, and the conversation looks to be getting heated. Will a physical fight go down? Then, there's Gio and his wife who are getting ready for their bundle of joy to arrive. But what stood out the most is what Polly says at the end of the trailer. She says, "If Jason is the broker that I think he is, he's not gonna last much longer in the ******* Oppenheim Group." Who could she be talking about? We can't wait for the third season to drop to find out!
Cast
Based on the official trailer, we can expect the entire cast to return for the third season. During the Selling Sunset season 7 reunion, Alex Hall, Polly Brindle, Gio Helou, and Brandi Marshall made an appearance to share the teaser trailer for Selling the OC season 3. This pretty much confirms their return. Also, all of the season 2 cast was included in the teaser, so that’s another confirmation.
Here’s who will be returning:
- Alex Hall
- Alexandra Jarvis
- Alexandra Rose
- Austin Victoria
- Brandi Marshall
- Gio Helou
- Kayla Cardona
- Lauren Shortt
- Polly Brindle
- Sean Palmieri
- Tyler Stanaland
- Ali Harper
Jason and Brett Oppenheim will appear several times throughout the season as well.
What happened in the season 3 teaser?
As mentioned above, the Selling the OC season 3 teaser was released during the Selling Sunset season 7 reunion episode. As of April 2024, Netflix still hasn’t dropped the teaser on YouTube so the only way you can watch it is by watching the reunion special. But we'll still give you a little rundown of the main things that happened in it.
- Alex and Tyler’s budding romantic relationship reaches a standstill.
- Sean isn’t doing well at the Oppenheim Group and even gets into a physical altercation with Austin.
- Gio’s wife is pregnant, so we get to see Gio and his wife’s pregnancy journey.
- Kayla and Gio get into a tense argument as well as Alex and Ali.
During the Selling Sunset season 7 reunion, Alex revealed that she and Tyler do not talk. She told Tan France that Tyler has her blocked on social media. Also, there was more serious tension between Alex and Brandi during the reunion. If you recall from the season 2 finale, Alex and Brandi’s friendship was not in a good place, but I wonder how it got worse. We’ll most likely find out in the third season.
